I asked a question about studying what people from Islamic relgion and culture believe, and the difference between the bible and the quaran and got some really different views.

Is there something wrong with trying to understand what alot of people in the world believe and why they believe it?

Evolution is driven by environmental change.

Sixteen millions years ago, some parts of Africa changed from Jungle to plain. Some parts of Africa remaind jungle.

Where the environment didnt change, no (little) adaptation occured. So the apes essentially stayed the same (todays apes). Where the enviornment did change, so did the primates or what we prefer to call our "ancestors".

Ape or ape-like ancestors who didnt stand as tall or run (scamper) as fast, didnt survive in a climate that no longer favored swinging from tree to tree as a means of escape from larger predators. The apes who survived were the ones who could see a little further because the stood a little taller. A taller or more erect standing ape, could see and anticipate predators better than other more hunched over apes.

So, for example, a Lion attacks a group of apes. Overtime, the ones who most often survive in the pack and the ones with the genetic inheritance of "little taller" or more erect.

I am not Christian and I was just wondering. I know that Virgin Mary was kicked out cuz they wouldnt believe that she became pregnant and shes a virgin. Why did Joseph go with her on her travel? Who is he?

Then they try to use their psychologically anthropomorphised idea of what god should be, according to their preferences, in order to judge the true God as not with the times?
I prefer a just,stern, passionate, sort of real and normal God, to the fake in the sky, that the diversity perversity crowd puts out as a stamp of approval on all their deviancy and sin.
What about you?
Do they not crossdress the truth just as they crossdress themsleves?
Does not their crossdressing ways, genderbending ways, affect their view of truth and also alter it? do not they bend truth.

You see what they do with concrete reality right in front of you, surgically altering it to fit their wants, what then will they not do in realm of ideas?
If they are promiscuous in bed and life, sleeping around, prostituting their bodies, degrading their bodies, is it not reasonable to assume that they will be promiscuous withthe truth, prostitue the truth, degrade the truth?

I want to know how many people out here know what pipestone is used for... and how do you know if stone is really sacred and how can you tell the stone your looking at is true: Sacred Pipestone from Pipestone, MN in the National Monument.

I asked a question earlier about God and books and so on, and a few people answered that books, movies, TV, etc. are distractions to studying the Bible and spending time with God. Which is an answer I can understand and respect.

However...if that's the case, why is there entertainment that caters specifically to Christians? Books, music, movies, and so on. I realize that some of it is for evangelical purposes, but not all of it is--much is there pretty much for Christians to enjoy. Wouldn't this be detrimental rather than helpful?

So if we are going to go off darwins theory..... with his natural selection find, obviously the moths changed colour because of a change in the environment. God, excersing his wisdom created things this way so that the animals could survive environmental changes and not die out.....
Why would we go from apes to humans? What kind of environmental change would cause this? Apes are not only stronger than humans, they are also more adapted to living outdoors... (humans have to wear clothes to keep warm)...
Why would we only get smarter, better looking and weaker?..... An environmental change could not have effected that? That goes against natural selection....
Please if anyone knows, or think that they can explain this please do..

"If it contradicts the holy book!"

Oh yea, thats real easy to determine, seeing how there are a million different interpretations for every type of holy book in any religion. Even if it could easily be determined, what a contradiction is, cant the devil still "use you" without contradicting the holy book?

Islam for example endorses murder in every circumstance, with the exception of other Muslims, so cant the devil trick goodly Muslims into murder that doesnt contradict the book?

Sounds like you have to be smarter than the devil to know if he is tricking you...which then means that God detests people he made stupid. If stupid people, with "strong faith" (whatever that is) can uncover the devils tricks, then the devil isnt very smart is he?

A friend told me he found an Israeli website where people of a certain religeon disappear while in deep meditation.I guess that they are taken up into the third heaven as seen with Daniel in the Old Testament.Unfortunately my friend passed away before giving me the sites name.Im interested in finding out more about this matter.

There is currently a psychic on a radio talk show giving advice to people calling in. Should that be legal without a disclaimer stating that it is all an act? If you were a real psychic wouldn't you use your power to win in Las Vegas instead of giving personal advice.
