Then they try to use their psychologically anthropomorphised idea of what god should be, according to their preferences, in order to judge the true God as not with the times?
I prefer a just, stern, passionate, sort of real and normal God, to the fake in the sky, that the diversity perversity crowd puts out as a stamp of approval on all their deviancy and sin.
What about you?
Do they not crossdress the truth just as they crossdress themsleves?
Does not their crossdressing ways, genderbending ways, affect their view of truth and also alter it? do not they bend truth.

You see what they do with concrete reality right in front of you, surgically altering it to fit their wants, what then will they not do in realm of ideas?
If they are promiscuous in bed and life, sleeping around, prostituting their bodies, degrading their bodies, is it not reasonable to assume that they will be promiscuous withthe truth, prostitue the truth, degrade the truth?

Assuming in your Question that "they" are modern man or perversity crowds.. Every other person has a different image of God, maybe not his actual image, as this would be widely protrayed as a picture of a man in clothes from ancient times, facial hair and a look of dispair in his eyes. However, god's personality and his strength's and weakness's are viewed in a different way by the general public. God and weakness in one sentence. Yet by creating the human mind, so intelligent that we use more than one train of thought. God left it to each individual mind to interput our own beliefs. God could have created a lesser mind one which would not question and only used present thinking. More often than not our beliefs are moulded by society. As the question suggests there is an evolving society, a society that may be protrayed as more promiscuous in bed and so on. This has however has no connection as to how they view god, it involves the view of themselves, as its thier bodies. To not think much of yourself, makes it easy to abuse yourself.

God was not tolerant, he sacrificed his only son for mankind. God is not tolerant to abuse, by abusing what god has created mankind will suffer too. When we abuse our bodies, we suffer. When we abuse the earth, it retaliates! We suffer.
As we are the beholder of images, we create them, each is unique to us. The individual mind and their life experiences determines the image. God's image is a mystery, as not all minds think alike. Would a happy mind think God in his image, a tolerant , lavender wearing , permissive , wimp?

Maybe promiscuity is the truth. Maybe the world isn't really divided into sin and holiness.

My god doesn't wear lavender, need grovelling slaves, or have any special affection for the weak or lazy.

But you're right, there is something very uninspiring about this "love all, harm none" God postulated by liberal branches of Abrahamic faiths. I prefer that to old genocidal Yahweh, though. Anyday.

Seems to me people create gods in their own image all the time. Hitler's god hated Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, mentally and physically disabled people, and just about anyone Hitler considered a threat. Fred Phelps' god hates homosexuals, abortion providers, and the families of fallen soldiers.
Racists' god hates everyone of a different skin color. It's enough to make any reasonable person question the validity of any god

People don't want to know the truth after becoming a christian in the world. Following god, and all that false stuff...

I would rather think for myself rather than have a set rulebook from 2000 years ago (remember, there were no cars at this time.)
