Because God is not a man on a throne, in the clouds.
God is a force in the Universe and when you die (cross over) you understand that the only reality is that you are a part of God. You are not separate from God.
The punishment and Higher Archy that most organized religion propagate does not exist. St. Peter and the pearly gates are yet another great myth.

Quite a few mediums mention God and James Van Prague also mentions god. You possibly could read a few more books. Mediums and psychics are very spiritual.

because the "spirits" are not from God.... The souls of the departed mortals do not return nor do they communicate with the living in any way... mediums are in contact with the forces of evil who know all about the departed and the living and can mimic the dead and tell truthful things about them to deceive the living.... The forces of evil know where grandpa buried the family jewels... and they know that you did a bad thing with that little girl in the fifth grade... and they know any thing you might want to ask about the departed... if the medium is not a compleat fake then there can be contact with these evil communicators.... and they deceive many

who says the spirit dont ?
i happen to know otherwise from many of the spirit teachings via a medium
and my own personal experiences of spirit ( my own family and messages i have given others ) spirit do mention the afterlife but they have not been in Gods presence ... however they do suggest there are higher beings and a God energy

Actually, I believe your basic statement is false. A number of well-known mediums were very connected to the concept of God. Edgar Cayce would be one example.

Mediums cannot contact the dead. The dead are dead. They do not exist. Death is the absence of life.

As anyone with an IQ over 60 or so knows - there are no such things as mediums or psychics or ghosts and no one can contact the dead.
