The phrase: "Printed in the United States of America...copyright 2001"

I don't understand it, but everytime I read it, I get spiritual, happy, peaceful, and I feel that god is with me.

Did his daughters get pregnant after they raped him? Only one or both? Were the children deformed?

I guess I do not understand the 34 year old "tradition" (I really do not consider it a holiday) of Kwanzaa. I know its basis - to incorporate African traditions into American customs...but...why? This is not Africa. This is America. Oh let me guess...it is all about those traditions being implemented by some "white guy"...

ok so ive noticed this argument comes up a lot, when a person makes a point against the validity of the bible (by makeing a contradiction or an inconsistancy) they are refuted by the same statement every time.

"you take it out of context"

ok now i have noticed that when i asked about prayer, bible says "with faith the size of a mustard seed one can move mountains" and "ask and you shall receive, knock and the door shall be opened" and then christians tell me "but only if its in gods will" nowhere in the entire chapter does it say that. so apparently u can put things in your own context.

but when i make a statement about an inconsistancy, they say i take it out of context when i pulled directly from the bible. then i ask them to please put it IN context for me to understand they are speechless.

so doesnt this seem a bit of a 1-way street here? christians claim we take things out of context, but put things in their own context. has anyone else noticed this?

Here it is people, crystal clear intolerance:

Quran 3:85 YUSUFALI: If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good). http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/003.q...

If "dont accept" them wasnt clear enough then:

Quran 5:51 : “O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors" http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/005.qmt.html

Dont get it yet? Ok, know they are "cursed":

Quran 9:30 "the Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. …they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the truth!" http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/009.qmt.html#009.030

Dont accept or ever befriend the cursed non-muslim but "hate" them instead, this is "excellent" conduct. Quran 60:4 http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/060.qmt.html#060.004

The how come there is story after story of children from infancy knowing who God is? Here is a quote from snopes of a child doing something strange but puts things into perspective...
Soon after her brother was born, little Sachi began to ask her parents to leave her alone with the new baby. They worried that like most four-year-olds, she might feel jealous and want to hit or shake him, so they said no. But she showed no signs of jealousy. She treated the baby with kindness and her pleas to be left alone with him became more urgent. They decided to allow it.

Elated, she went into the baby's room and shut the door, but it opened a crack -- enough for her curious parents to peek in and listen. They saw litle Sachi walk quietly up to her baby brother, put her face close to his and say quietly, "Baby, tell me what God feels like. I'm starting to forget."

here is the link with the article of "God Smells Like Rain"
http://www.snopes.com/glurge/rain.htm The story has been found to be true

The Catholic Church says they are the first Christian Church but I find inconsistancies in their statements when compared to historical fact. In NT the Apostle were told to spread to the far West and East. How could the Catholic Church be telling the truth?

Better to believe than to not if there is, as opposed to the other way around.

We just had an arguement about God and the Bible last night. She insists that I just let her believe what she wants to believe. She even stated that if there are some parts of the bible that she doesnt like, she wont believe it. So i asked her if she believed in God, Christ and the Holy Spirit and she said she did. Then I told her that she cant just believe in 'parts" of the Bible, she has to believe it all...... Its SO frustrating at times!! She has already prayed the sinner's prayer of repentance ( and the last one was in tears I might add) but i still see a lot of disbelief. I know for a fact that the Lord has been trying to get her attention. In the last 2 months 3 complete and total strangers have come up to her and told her about Jesus Christ and how she should open up her heart to Him. This has never EVER happened to her in her life, but ever since I came into her life she's been getting so much attention from God its beautiful...... To get to my point, what should i do!?

It seems that atheists and believers simply cannot tolerate one another. No matter how polite you may be, someone's going to be offended by your question and/or answer.

Therefore, atheists, if they created an atheist section, separate from the religion section, would you go there?

I figure if they did implement this, all the believers who are truly willing to open their minds could come and ask questions there, while all those less daring could stay here and comfort each other... (If nothing else, it might possibly separate the trolls from those who truly want meaningful responses)

What do you think?
