The documentary "Knocking" is an accurate discussion of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is hardly a 'cheerleading' advocacy of the religion.

I have not seen it. However, if you want the link to the PBS site that has the date of this viewing, check out the first link under where I list PBS as a source.
From the reports that I hear, it was very good. As was stated by the individual who posed this question here, this would be good for those who are either curious or have misconceptions about us. Speaking as a JW myself, there are many people who have all of these things about us that are illogical. Nevertheless, I cannot wait to see it.
The link below under the first link are comments from those who has already seen this.

I have not seen it yet, but I've heard that it is pretty accurate, although it presents mostly the 'favorable' side of Jehovah's Witnesses. The producer's mother is a Witness and asked her son to portray them favorably, and he did. That is why Witnesses were allowed to cooperate with him in making it.
No Witness would cooperate with a film maker who showed the negative side of Witnesses, even if every word of it was true.

Probably won't see it. JW theology is a bit convoluted for my taste. Besides, if you listen to what they have to say you'll learn that there's really no reason to join them.
First they tell you that God has ordained that only a certain number of souls will be saved. Then they tell you that God has already pre-ordained which souls will be saved. This being the case why should I join them. If I have been pre-chosen by God then I do not need to join them since I've already been chosen. If I haven't been pre-chosen by God then it's not likely that joining their church will change God's mind and there is still no point to joining their church. If the "saved" are already pre-chosen then their is no need for their religion as who will be saved is already set & fixed.
