keep asking the same questions over and over....as if their question is new and the Bible has never been examined and disected and studied by people of all walks of life? I'll bet many have been asking the same questions for ten years (or more). Why don't they go find out the answers through real study instead of asking questions in jest? They take bits of truth to make a greater lie. Here's a revelation: you don't have to know ALL the answers to know the TRUTH. Don't let unimportant questions (i.e: when was Jesus born?) keep you from the message that He was born and He came to us. The New Testament is simply a contiuation of the Old Testment. They do not conflict each other.

The fact that Jesus has always dominated and influenced the thoughts and actions of society is indication of His power and impact. Why not focus on Him and see the answers you WILL find. He will change your life....if you let Him.

This about abortions.

"Why should a baby have to suffer for your mistake?"

Then something came to mind.

Why does all of humanity have to suffer becuase some people decided to eat a fruit?

that he will not punish you for things , just because you seen no other option
that he will not punish you because you by nature love someone of your own sex
that he will not punish you because by your own logic and free will you chose a different path
that he will not punish you because you loved your partner and had sex out of the love you felt for each other
that he will not punish you for being human , with faults and flaws
cant i get an Amen ?

Atheists have this in common with Christians: We want what is best for humanity as a whole. However, we disagree on what that is. Atheists personally believe that religious beliefs are harmful, and we try exposing them as such. So Christians, can you understand that it isn't anything personal with you and that we are only working for what is best?

This is honestly a question and not a statement. If anyone is to disagree, I would like to know why.

For instance, wouldn't you have far more of a case against gays,
abortion, promiscuity, etc, (other, "soft" sins, besides the obvious violent violations against humanity)... If it weren't argued on the basis that it is "sinful" and attempt to back it up with vague and relatively meaningless bible verses?
If you are a conservative, if you want to get your point across and make a larger impact, it shouldn't be because "you will make baby Jesus cry".
Or does it even matter if all that matters is not conduct but only if you "believe"? And if that's true, why do you make such a fuss about Abortion?

(I'm mostly anti-abortion by the way, so don't go into the justice of abortion with bible drivel, try to look at it from a philosophical outside perspective.
Why, Besides God, are some crimes to you far worse to you than others, and don't you think you could make more progress by leaving God out of your debate all together, since it automatically makes you lose credibility?)

DON'T TELL ME THE STORY, I'V HEARD IT. ANSWER THE QUESTION.

If god truly forgives then this action wouldn't have been taken. He would have forgiven and not thrown them out.
If you have a come back of he forgave them after he threw them out, this must tell you he has a temper!

I'm an Atheist, and Christians provide me with something that's unstoppable, a kind of circular logic that i can't seem to figure out. it almost seems like they're masochistic about this.

STEP 1 :
when i say something Atheistic (whatever that is), they tell me that Jesus also died for my sins.
STEP 2 :
Then i have no choice than to figure out for myself who Jesus is, and what 'sin' is.
When i try to figure those things out, i have a million of questions about it.
STEP 3 :
When i ask those question, the christians tell me that i might burn in 'Hell'.
So, i try to figure out what "Hell" is, have a million questions about that again.
STEP 4 :
When i ask those questions, they accuse me that i bash their religion.

Don't they get that when they don't tell me that Jesus died for my 'sins', that i would never come to step 4 ??

Bishop Ussher was correct to the extent that if you add up the dates given in the bible then creation happened in 4004 BC.

Do all of you who call yourselves Christians accept this date?

I want this to be my last question here... God didn't tell me to fight with people about religion he told me to preach to people not hit them over the head with the Bible....

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

I hope you find the truth... because there has to be one thing we can agree on (maybe we can agree) that there can't be more than one truth...

God will still exist. Yet far too often we allow temporal concerns to control our lives while giving little or no thought to spiritual matters.

Acknowledgeing and accepting that the soul will endure can help us to see that relationship with God- who will always remain- must become the all -important goal of our lives.

Jesus said,"Do not worry, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear?'... But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be giving to you as well." Matthew 6:31-33
