My relationship with God is the same whether I am living , dead, rich, poor , whatever. Nothing has any bearing on that relationship, it is the most important thing in my life. You are right when you say that folks give way to much thought and concern to temporal things, and not to spiritual matters. I wonder if people give it any thought at all, really. When someone has a terrible tragedy or they get their weewee stuck in a door or something, then you hear them "oh God, help me, Oh God". Remember right after "9/11"?? The churches were filled to overflowing - nobody even complained when you heard "God Bless America" on TV or saw it on signs everywhere. How long did that last?? Just long enough for people to get the anxiety of it off their chest, then back to forgetting their God. Believe me, He isn't happy with people who play church. A Christian is either a Christian everyday, regardless of the situation, or he isn't a Christian at all - its that cut and dry. Anyway, i better stop rambling - hey, thanks for your really intellegent writing. Merry Christmas.

Dude great question! Man that is deep one of the deepest questions i have seen on this website. I know my relationship with God will be even better. No more distractions or little things that get in the way. Jesus is my bestfriend, so i'll be able to know even more about what He is like. Cause He knows everything about me, but i know so little about Him. Knowing Him more is and will be my greatest joy in existence. God bless!

Personally - I think we should all live for the exact moment we're in because none of us is guaranteed another day (no matter how healthy or ill, young or old) and quite frankly none of us knows for certain what life after death (if such a thing exists) is all about. So my advice is - don't spend your life worrying about death or preparing for the afterlife! Live now! Worry about death and the afterlife when it happens.

I think Job said, "Even if he destroy me, yet will I praise Him."
To me, that relationship will be there, no matter what. I am sorry that your post is getting responses from the skeptics, but at least you have made them think about the most important relationship of all.

Beautifully written! I love a particular song by Don Moen called 'When it's all been said and done'. The song encapsulates the whole concept that you have.

the relationship you will have with God will be the same one your have with your true self. Loving one's self seems to be the hardest of the human habits to master but isn't it necessary to do first and foremost to have the deepest appreciation of our God?

When all else is gone, i'll be walking into a void of nothing, with my back turned to god, giving him the finger, Anyone with good sense would do the same.

I don't know. I'm still trying to figure out how God knows me.

Luckily for us all YOU have a direct line to God. Be sure to let us know what he thinks and wants.
