I'm an Atheist, and Christians provide me with something that's unstoppable, a kind of circular logic that i can't seem to figure out. it almost seems like they're masochistic about this.

STEP 1 :
when i say something Atheistic (whatever that is), they tell me that Jesus also died for my sins.
STEP 2 :
Then i have no choice than to figure out for myself who Jesus is, and what 'sin' is.
When i try to figure those things out, i have a million of questions about it.
STEP 3 :
When i ask those question, the christians tell me that i might burn in 'Hell'.
So, i try to figure out what "Hell" is, have a million questions about that again.
STEP 4 :
When i ask those questions, they accuse me that i bash their religion.

Don't they get that when they don't tell me that Jesus died for my 'sins', that i would never come to step 4 ??

Awww, Persephone...How cutely Christian of you to correct spelling.

First: English is my fourth language, I'm not a native.

Second: the word "realise" is actually correct. Ever heard of Brittish-English, you uneducated avatar?

they want you to accept it and shut up about it. you are not allowed to understand any thing. so all you can do is pick up a bible and study for yourself and you'll come to the conclusion that Christianity is a false doctrine.

Jesus did die for your sins, even if you choose not to accept that. He did it for everyone, not just those that believe and follow him. As to who Jesus is - He is the Son of God who was born to a Hebrew virgin. He is both God AND man. He lived approximately 33 years. He performed many miracles and was the Messiah who had been promised in the Old Testament. He was tortured and crucified as had also been foretold in the OT so that, by His grace, we could receive forgiveness for our sins.He died on the cross and was buried in a borrowed tomb that was sealed with a boulder. After three days the boulder was rolled away and he had risen from the dead. He walked the earth for a time after his death, then bodily arose to be with His Father in Heaven. If you want to know more about what sin is, or who Jesus is, or about Hell, or about what is to come, or forgiveness get yourself a Message Bible. It is written in the modern day language and is easier to understand for a person who has no belief or knowledge of Jesus as savior. For some reason, I don't believe you are a true atheist. I believe you are what I used to be (and thought I was an atheist). I think you are an agnostic who doesn't know WHAT he believes and is seeking answers. We are all sinners, every one of us, and all sin is equal. Sins like murder, theft, rape, you name it, just seem to carry more weight to our human minds, but the so called "little" sins are just as grievous. The bible says God hates sin. It does not say God hates SOME sins. If Jesus had not done what He did, not one of us would be able to enter the kingdom of heaven. You said you wanted to know what hell is? Simply put, it's the eternal absence of God. I won't put you down for what you say you believe and I won't ridicule your line of questioning. But I will ask that every Christian reading this remember you in prayer, because it is God's desire that not one be kept out of Heaven. That means you, too. Don't stop asking. Don't stop seeking the Truth. Jesus has the answers. He said "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life". God bless you.

You just met up with the wrong sort of "Christians." We never tell someone they'd burn in hell just because of asking, nor do you bash our religion when you do. We can't help it if you're a non-believer either.

It's natural for us humans to ask questions. But that's why there are lots of religions too besides Christianity. If you don't believe or understand a certain part of the teachings, you ask, and go to another. But that's not it either.

We tell you that Jesus died for your sins becuase He DID. We can't force you to understand that. I myself don't understand most of it all. But the more questions I have the more my faith grows stronger, that's just the way it is.

You can't grasp everything and be knowledgeable of it all. You're just human, create dby our Creator. You must realize: trying to make your mind understand everything about Jesus and why He did this or that for us is like trying to fit the entire oceans into a single pail--which is highly impossible.

When you say something Atheistic you say that because you are one. And when we say something about Christ we say it because we are Christians.

It's good to have questions, if you are asking from the right motive, in seeking God. Will I or any other person be able to answer all of your questions? Certainly not!!! But why not ask God Himself? or simply pick up the Bible and read it for yourself. You have nothing to lose.

By the way, sin is anything that displeases God...How do you know what displeases God? By reading the BIBLE

Sometimes we as Christians don't realize that witnessing is a "follow up ministry" and that people will have questions. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me. I'd be happy to help. I also have a few questions for you as an atheist. What makes you so sure God doesn't exist? And what made you decide he doesn't exist?

The Bible says; Be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatsoever and man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Yours days are coming. Its just a matter of time.

For me, my prayers for the Lords, Grace, Love and Mercy be with you. To the opening and removal of the spiritual veil, that Satan has put upon your mind and heart. In Jesus name.

Your problem is trying to figure it out for yourself (or) myself, as you put it. Take to the Lord, and all your figuring will be over with.

We are told to make sure that what we hear, is true. Bring up all the questions you want. We either have an answer (that might or might not be acceptable to you) or we don't know how to answer. We just don't know all these things. But, I know enough to make me sure that I hardly know anything at all.

It depends on what the intent of your questions is. If you indeed want to find out more about Jesus, your questions will be answered. If you want to ask questions simply to be contrary, then this process will persist forever for you.

But then they would have gone to Hell for selfishly trying to defend their religion by never telling you in the first place.

You could answer all those questions by reading the Bible and Biblical topic books, but you don't because your intent is not to seek information with a teachable mind. Your intent is to provoke.
