what do you think about preachers (like benny hinn) doing the whole "making people/crowds fall down because of the spirit thing"
obviously i know that atheists would think that it shows the absurdity of the will to believe
but i am wondering what other christians think about it.
Do you think that people are unwittingly playing along (like at hypnotist shows) or do you think the spirit is really doing that?

4 thousand years ago the below prophecy was given to Daniel by the Angelic Messenger Gabriel.

In Daniel 12:4 we read; But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

If he was God himself, or the son, shouldn't he have known the truth all along?

I believe in psychics, but I've always wondered-if they can tell you something is going to happen next week, say a car accident. And you decide not to drive that week, so you don't get in an accident. But it was your fate to get in one, so you have something else bad happen to you instead, right? It's very confusing.

-I believe in god or gods but I don't think about god.

-I don't believe in any religion

-I just live my life and not worry or care or think about anything spiritual.

-Although I believe in god I don't believe I have to do anything or think or worry about it.

-I believe people are wasting their time if they practise religion but I've got nothing against it. If it makes them happy, go for it...

So is there a word for me that fits ALL of the above descriptions?

I answer them sometimes but it discourages me how much hatred there seems to be between religions. And also between non-religious people and religious ones. No one group seems to be better mannered than another. Tell me your ideas, please.

WHICH CONCLUSION IS MORE LOGICAL?!? For those of you who don't know the rules, this is a game where you select the answer that is most logical (it's really not debatable), and the first person to do so get's ten points: (or if you post something that makes me laugh, I'll give you the ten points)
OK, first question:

It is most logical Mary was impregnated at the age of 14 without having sex with her husband because:

A: She was impregnated by the holy spirit with the son of god, which is supported by a book written in the 1st century, that is the word of god because it says it is, and faith: which means believing something without evidence.

B: She had sex with another man.

C: The Flying Spaghetti monster touched her with his holy noodle.

Ok, good luck. =P

Why is the world hating on Islam which is a religion of peace. I know a few poor peasants who think they are muslims were involved in a terrorist act, but that doesnt make muslims terrorists. In history, the native americans, blacks, asians, Irish, and other races have been targeted and hated. Why cant people learn from mistakes and not continue this hate trend. Its not fair to base an opinion on people, when all you see on the news is the biased news against Islam. FREE ANWAR AL AWLAKI, he is a u.s citizen and did not commit any terrorist acts.

I mean, we still havent found the missing link...

My husband and I believe in evolution as a daily thing (such as species dying out because of weather and so forth), but not as the creation of the world.

Do people still believe that we started as goo and continued up the line to where we are today even though we have no scientific base?

Im just curious because I havent had a good conversation about evolution in awhile, and Im not sure where the scientific community stands at this point, and I'd like to stay informed.

Thank you in advance.

I've got a question here. Why do people consciously choose a religion or set of values that imposes even more rules and regulations on an already overloaded populous??? What do you "get" from religion??? Maybe the fact that with religion you don't have to think about eventual non-existence????

When I went to school, I was taught that it took thousands of years for wood to petrify. In fact, that was one of the ways you could tell that this was an acient fossilized speciment. But up in Mt. St. Helens, 175 sq. miles of forest was leveled, and trees up there petrified years ago. How is that possible?

Atheists, your conception of God is that there is no God and it was made by evolution.....but how you define God? God can be defined as a cosmic force, in that case, you do beleive in God (aka, evolution)...

God can be defined in many ways....

but Atheists, beleived in the one God of the christians, as the target not to beleive....

but logically, an atheist still needs faith to beleive in evolution and the big bang and how it c ame to us (because it doesn't explain creation---where did the big bang coem from, etc)...

so atheists are just as faithful to their religion, as christians...

agnostics are just as faithful because they are thinking about beleiving but not sure, about a God, but only the one that is referred to in the bible...T

This is my position: I beleive in something, because I don't think that we just all came from nowhere without an explanation. So I am a spiritual person.

But I am not religious because it takes only one definition of God, and because of its

The Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson sure thinks so. And with strong evidence too. (See his article http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=16474).
Heer is an interesting quote about the inventor of Kwanzaa, "Karenga has explained that his creation of Kwanzaa was motivated in part by hostility toward both Christianity and Judaism. Writing in his 1980 book Kawaida Theory, he claimed that Western religion “denies and diminishes human worth, capacity, potential and achievement. In Christian and Jewish mythology, humans are born in sin, cursed with mythical ancestors who’ve sinned and brought the wrath of an angry God on every generation’s head.” He clearly opposed belief in God and other “spooks who threaten us if we don’t worship them and demand we turn over our destiny and daily lives.”

What do you think?
