The story is this: a schoolteacher was also an organist at a local church. One day in winter he went to the church to practice for the Christmas celebrations, only to find that the organ had been damaged by the chewing of some mice. A priest then suggested that the teacher play a hymn that he had composed and use a guitar instead of the organ. His argument was that angels play harps, so playing a hymn with a guitar would come to the same thing. The schoolmaster did and the hymn was a great success.

Does this story ring any bells?

Before flaming me I just want to say that I am referring to a minority of atheists that I have met. Atheists don't believe in God. Fine I accept their beliefs. However a minority of atheists I have met feel they have to look down on me as someone believing in God. That I don't believe is right. Some atheists (or maybe most) believe that religion has caused a lot of problems. Yet some adopt that same idea of we're superior to you like some spiritualists. I find this insulting. Can't we all just get along regardless of whether we believe in God?

Why are corrupt people being chosen to be an influence to the youth? It appears that drugs and drinking is ok, and we know it is not. If you will get rid of a person showing their physical body, why not someone who is exploiting hteir body and using durgs. As a counselor a drug is a drug is a drug....It's pretty sad this world is totally lost due to the people. None of this was written to be right but there will be Judgement in the afterlife. So be it.

There are always people critisizing and making fun of christians for having such blind faith based on a book that was written hundreds of years ago, but what happens if we're right and you're wrong? The worst thing that could happen to us if we're wrong is that we would either be reincarnated, or we would just die, and never know. But if you're wrong, are you prepared to spend eternity in hell? And forget this "party" crap. Have you ever been burned? By a cigarette or a match? You know how they used to burn witches? It would be like that, the pain without becoming numb from it or passing out from it......forever. So before you laugh this off as another bible-thumper spouting off my beliefs, I really want to know what would you do if you are wrong?

It seems like willful ignorance to me. Why trust a book that is between 2000 and 5000 years old over modern scientific discovery? The bible didn't say anything about nuclear technology, does that mean it doesn't exist?

I heard a preacher on the radio today say that Jesus was an "already formed embryo" when implanted into Mary, which would make Mary a surrogate. I guess I have always believed that Mary was His biological mother.

What say you?

In Matthew 24:14, Jesus says; And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

When we take into consideration that at the time Jesus made this decloration, many nations, including North and South America, was not even in existence.

What is the above verse pertaining to?

I was going to a friend's church with her, and we passed another Baptist church on the way, and I asked why she didn't go to that one; it's closer. She said it's Southern Baptist, but she didn't really have a good answer as to what's the diff.

I'm serious and looking for someone that really knows the Muslim faith to answer this question...

I keep trying to post this and it doesn't go through... it is frustrating!

Someone recently told me that it is a Muslim man's extreme blessing if he converts a Christian Woman. The it is commanded of him and that when he passes that he will be set up in a kingdom and the women he converted will be his servants. Is this true?

I mean jesus said that there is a heaven and he does not lie but what if a historian wrote that down for fiction and got the facts wrong. For example some religons like Hinduism believe that if u were nice in your life to other people you will be born in a better position in your next life.
I heard that hell is a place where you feel seperation from god. And if i am born in a misrable life is it because in my previous life i did bad things.
Please answer this question for me please i need help on this.
COuld it be that when we die its like sleeping without dreams and being unconcious forever.
