Let's not forget the non-Christian denominations, the athiests, the agnostics and all the others - who are equally sure that they have it right.

This question will only lead to fueds. Christianity, right now, is a mess. Christians today have become very unaccepting and ignorant to other people's feelings. I also feel that Jesus's love is not being spread. AFTER ALL, GOD CALLED ALL OF US TO PROCLAIM THE TRUTH. The person with the bald guy avatar is behaving very unChristianlike. I'm am a Catholic and believe that there is no flaw with the religion. Many people believe that Mary is being looked as a goddess in Catholisism, but the truth is that they are trying to say that this is not a sexist religion, they are showing that women (along with men) have an important role in the Church. I am converting to a Catholic from being raised as a Baptist, so let me tell you that I've done a lot of theological research in the past year. As far as him behaving unChristianlike: TRUE CHRISTIANS DO NOT JUDGE AND INSULT OTHER PEOPLE OR RELIGIONS! I also find his definition of a true Christian as offensive to all Catholics. I also find that it make him look like a horrible person. Jehova Wittnesses: I am sorry if you were also offended. My defintion: I think that Christians are people who allow Jesus's amazing grace and love fill thier hearts, spread peace, and make the world a better, more accepting race. While, they spread that Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, and the Holy Father are they three beings who redeem and save us. AMEN.

Not only are there a lot of Denominations now, but they have changed a lot through out the years. Today's Fundamentalists wouldn't recognize 90% of the Christians of the past as Christians.

Which makes you wonder about the claims of those fundamentalists; Jesus died so that ten to twenty million contemporary European, North American and converted African and Asian church-goers could be saved?

And come to think of it, won't the church change in the near future? Not a lot, but probably enough so that today's fundamentalists won't recognize the faith of their descendants as being Christian.

No wonder they keep hoping these are the end times.

I don't see how denominationalism is necessarily a negative thing. For mainstream Protestant denominations, some differences are extremely subtle, and some differences are notable but have qualities to them that cannot be found elsewhere. For instance, I come from a denomination that has a rather intellectual background. The emotion found in a gospel service is something that my own particular faith group would never be able to duplicate. Each style though has its own beauty as different as it is. I'm more than happy to visit those churches, but my comfort zone is with my own particular denomination.

I wonder if they counted all the non-denominational churches as separate denominations. But I bet many of them have it right, and a few have bad doctrines mixed in.

Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
"The owner's servants came to him and said, "Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?"
"An enemy did this," he replied.
The servants asked him, "Do you want us to go and pull them up?"
"No" he answered, "Because while you are pulling up the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn"

... His disciples came to him and said, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field"
He answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels"

the denominations dont have a different religion, just different traditions and ways of doing things. thats why they are seperated because they make their petty differences get in the way of coming together and being the church of God as one denomination. and some denominations dont practice full baptism which is taught in the Bible

Well it does look confusing. The true one would strive to imitate 1st century christianity the best it could. They would have to read and study the Bible regularly, obey Jesus's commandments such as to love one another, love their enemies, follow the golden rule, and to preach the good news of God's Kingdom that's in the Lord's prayer.

No one. Members are largely a bunch of hypocritical, often deluded, sheepish fools. If Jesus came back today, he'd chase most of them out of the temple, starting with the TV evangelists and the mega church ministers.

Forget religion.

Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Christ is the tree of life.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
