Taking anything Y/A does or does not do in 'handling' its users seriously, or making any effort to make or hold any sort of level of integrity is -- just over. Here, there is not even a scrap of a pretense about supposed integrity of this site anymore. The shifting line Y/A policy makers drew in the sand which tipped Yahoo Answers into the realm of the ridiculous and non-creditable is the recent policy wherein an answer being disliked enough to get ten TD's is removed and penalizes the author -10 points. That rule makes it possible for any contributor to be the target of sniping which causes penalty. Y/A is then, currently a complete free-for all melee of a popularity poll vs. a place where one can confidently provide a solid factual answer, Now, a few individuals (only a few with multiple accounts) can, if they desire, concertedly choose to wipe anyone they care to attack off the board if they are persistent. Re: The lack of any monitoring of a Troll who clearly has multiple accounts, including the power of multiple thumbs down and all the rest...? Well, like that bundle of a good number of TC's whom we have not seen in a year or more, that group of really fine contributors who dropped out one after the next? Can you blame them? Best regards
