"Taught" by whom? The Bible or the ministers or our parents?

According to the Bible, we are only really able to concern ourselves about the sins of the people inside the church, in other words we don't need to go around telling everyone, "You're sinning you're going to hell", but if we see our brother or sister in Christ sinning, we should try to do something to help them stop. Ultimately, though, God does judge for himself and only God knows a person's heart.

I think Matthew 8:22 establishes that we should essentially let people dig their own graves if they don't want to give up their life of sin..... And some Christians say "You're going to hell" almost like that means "Haha I am better than you" but true Christians should be sad to think anyone is going to hell. No Christian should be eager to say someone is going to hell, because that should be the last place we want them to go, even if we don't really like the person. We cant force anyone to become a Christian, no matter how important we think Christ is. Also Matthew 23 establishes that God does not like hypocrites, and that God wants us to wash the inside first, then the outside will naturally be clean, but if we just wash the outside then we'll still be dirty (sinful).

So I think its alright that we warn people of the consequences of sin, but the most important thing is making sure that we ourselves are clean.

I'm a Christian and was taught to never tell anybody that. That's not my role as a Christian. What will happen to a person at the Judgment Day will be totally up to God and only Him. We as Christians can witness to people as to what we believe and if they become interested in learning more and they ASK for more information then we can study with them. I won't force it if they have no interest. If you're not interested, you're not interested. I'll respect that.

You are very right. It is completely up to God to decide. Not us.

I'm a Christian and I was never taught this. My mother told me that it was not a nice thing to say to person though.

We are commissioned by Jesus Christ to alert people of when they sins by letting them know that they have transgress and to repent. Some will, many won't. But, that's is our job as Christian. If we see it and do nothing, we share in their sin. I find nothing wrong in telling a person that if they don't repent they will definitely end up in Hell, the Lake of Fire.><>

No. We are taught the Bible and the Bible does not say "never say anyone is going to hell." The Bible teaches many are going to Hell. Christ said people are going to hell. We are told to warn people so they will not go to hell. That is up to God to decide, and the Bible tells us that God has decided that anyone who does not believe in Him is going to hell.

i think they are taught that way, but not every1 that is christian really believes, they just say they do. So only REAL christians (believers) are taught that way. At least, most of them are.
It is most definitly up to God to decides who has proved themselves worthy. The Bible says that anyone who does not believe that Jesus died for us will not be proved worthy. You shouldnt say it to a person, even if its true

As a Christain I have never been taught that. I think God shall be the judge.

There are probably some minority religins that teach this..

I have enough to do to and wouldn't waste time judging others.

Real Christians are taught to believe that the state of your soul is between you and God. They also hope that no one is going there....but they aren't above asking you to visit on your own.

Depends on the denomination. I told a guy that cut me off in my car the other day to go to hell. I'm a Christian...Catholic, as a matter of fact.

No we are not. It is not for me or anyone else to tell someone they are going to hell. I believe in hell and I believe that if someone does not except Jesus as their lord and savior then they will be going to hell. I can't tell anyone what is in their heart. I am however human and can be judgmental like anyone else. I try to not be but I am not perfect and thank God , he loves me just as I am.

as hell is really the place of dead people, it is actually true to say that all people that have died up till the time of Jesus' Kingdom reign, are in hell.
after that some are resurrected to heaven while others will live on the earth. at the time of the end of this system, some will actually never die.
