I am in favor of Gay's being able to form a legally binding, and permanent relationship. Calling it marriage is tough, and a hot button issue, because, and I will agree with the Bible flingers, that Marriage is a religious institution, and is under their control. The state should just come up with a Legal Partnering, seperate from marriage, and while a marriage legally has the same attributes as a Legal Partering, a Legal Partnering is not a religious binding.

But it won't affect me negatively in any way...If two or more people care for each other, and want to spend the rest of their lives together...I'm all for it, there isn't enough Love in this sad world.

Ok... if you expect some religions to accept gay marriage, I guess you will have to wait quite a few centuries. Having said that, that should not be a problem for the society to recognize some specific rights to gay couples (you can call it civil marriage, civil unions, however), but it is extremely sad and unfair that two people who decided freely to live together and have a relationship cannot have some rights recognized, such as the right to decide who to include in their will, to live where they want, and to get the same advantages in terms of insurance as any other couple would get. In relation to adoption, there may be cases in which there may be more beneficial for kids to have gay parents than having an abusing, rapist father and a abused, passive mother. I know many gay guys who would be better parents than a lot of abusive and irresponsible heterosexuals. Bottom line, no it does not affect me, in civil terms. But that is different as asking some religions to include gay marriage in their beliefs.

Gay marriage affects me in the following ways. First why am i going to indorce a a gay marriage when it against everything natural and holy. It is a adomination in the sight to God and man. All people already have the right to marry, A marriage is a legal jointing of two people who can produce offspring by themselfs. In other words one man and one woman. I do not want my childern to be exposed you gays period. And I do not want them to be taught by them also. For the same reason a thief or a pedofile will not be around my child i due not want you abomation to affect my children. I would stop paying taxes if they allow gay marriage. Why do you think your sin is not a sin just because the government might give you a piece of paper. Get real strange dudes you are not the majority.

It will affect society as a whole and open the door to everybody else wanting certain privileges ,as far as gays adopting Children they sure haven't been knocking the doors down to Adopt a child ,They are using this for their own agenda otherwise they would adopt as a single person and be involved more with big brother are big sister organizations , In the last month I have not seen a single Gay organization trying to help any underprivileged kids living on the street , /Peace

Your statement that if one says it's "an abomination...will get a thumbs down, I want you to think" suggests - to me - that you think those who believe in Scripture aren't thinkers. That's unfortunate since much that's in Western Civilization is attributable to the greatest Christian thinkers the world has ever produced.

Nevertheless we live in a world of causality whether physical or spiritual. In other words there's always consequences to our actions and there's a ripple effect. Surely you've heard of the "Butterfly Effect". Anyway marriage is an institution that was originally created by God for a man and woman for procreation. At the same time there's a war going on between the Lord and an upstart fallen angel and that which is contrary to God falls into the domain of satan and essentially amounts to helping him.

Although directly physically marriage between gays doesn't affect me but accepting it is the same as siding with Lucifer. I have enough problems in my life but that's how I see it.

Some people just think that since they're sooooooo perfect they have to go out and make everybody just like them.

If more people worried about themselves and being good people they'd have a lot less time to worry about what Bill and Bob next door are doing.

People can believe in The Great God Mota, or that the sky is pink, or something equally ridiculous and it doesn't hurt me in the slightest. If people don't bother me, I won't bother them.

You are obviously not looking for an answer to your question. You are merely looking for someone who agrees with your point of view, Your mind is made up. A closed mind and a closed hand are similar in that neither can receive. Why don't you ask a question, that has more than one answer....yours!

ok actually the gay an bisexual relationships are the cause of the spread of the STD's. at first there were only like two but thanks to those freaks that go both ways, there are almost a hundred of them now. its God's way of saying sexual relationships were ment for a man and a woman. and plus, many of us normal people dont want our kids and our future kids to be exposed to this crap for religious reasons. thae Bible does say that homosexuality is wrong. so thats why i dont want them to allow gay marriage.
