Religion is in reality according to the scriptures, mankinds effort to reach God. However, Christianity is God's effort to reach man. It is a way of life. A life of which Christ lives through the believer.
And Christianity is the most persecuted belief of today. We can see it taking place in our local and national news media.
Christianity is the only belief, of which, one can and is, put to death for if one tries to convert in other countries.
It is the only belief, of whom the Ten Commandments have been removed out of public schools, as well as prayer.
It is the one of whom, is being persecuted, by the removal of things pertaining to Christianity, from society.

Because you don't always agree with the majority, or they abuse their power and persecute their own people. It has happened frequently throughout history, merely because people are corruptible when vested with power. People can be persecuted whether they are the majority or the minority, or if they are wrong or right in their opinion - whoever has the power of the government can still abuse that power.

You can claim persecution when a jihadist breaks into your bomb shelter, rapes your wife, dismembers your baby, and then shoots you in the head; simply because you believe in Jesus and disagree with Islam.
Persecution is the taking away of life, liberty, and property because of what you believe in.

I suppose even small amounts of criticism makes them uncomfortable. Further faith or belief in any one religion is by nature mutually exclusive. so you're either with us or against us as Bush stated. Religious fanaticism and intolerance is often contributed to just one religion but in reality it exists in others as well.

couple of ways... say the specific area you live in isnt in that majority, you live in a certain town and the next thing you know your outmanned and outgunned! another problem are the imposters, they can easily turn tolerance into persecution with their actions, you know the old saying "one bad apple spoils the bunch"

The same way those involved in home invasions sue the homeowner because they were injured by the family dog that was protecting the house.
