There is no way to truly find out what day Jesus was born. I have studied the Bible, and It is not in there. We have chosen to celebrate His birthday on that day. He could have been born in the fall. With Dec. 25 as the day the people have chosen, many people have helped others, and try to have peace on that day. The story of Jesus birth goes out more than any other day. More people come to church for Christmas. More stories are shown in churches. There is no harm in worshiping the Lord on that day. God knows our hearts, and He knows why each person does what they do. God Bless You.

No one. He was born in the Spring. Remember that the shepherds were guarding their flocks. They only did that at lambing time, which was in the spring. In the Winter, the flocks would have been corralled, not roaming the hillsides.

December 25th was chosen to coincide with the Pagan holiday celebrating the shortest day of the year (and the lengthening days). It kept the people in church and out of the bars.

well you are right the bible does not tell us when Jesus was born. theologians tell us that it was most likely in October, but the a pope changed it to December becuz if it was in October it would be so close to a Pagan holiday, 'Halloween'.

Although shepherds would be watching frozen sheep in December, we have adopted this time frame to observe / celebrate His birth. He was probably born in the spring, actually.

Nobody did. They (Church fathers) decided to pick a date to commemorate the birth of Jesus, so they went with one near the traditional Pagan observation of the winter solstice (December 21.) The church fathers were great at appropriating pagan holidays....

it is not important. all my dogs and cats are adopted. i guess their bdays and make a decision and live with it. the actual date is of NO CONSEQUENCE. I do not like Christians and generally have a strong distaste for all religions but I do like Jesus. He is very cool. dont cheapen his essence over the triviality of a date.
