If he was God himself, or the son, shouldn't he have known the truth all along?

[4:172] O People of the Book! exceed not the limits in your religion, and say not of Allah anything but the truth. Verily, the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a Messenger of Allah, and a fulfilment of His word which He has sent down to Mary, and a mercy from Him. So believe in Allah and His Messengers, and say not, 'They are three.' Desist, it will be better for you. Verily, Allah is the only One God. Holy is He, far above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And sufficient is Allah as a guardian.

He did know the truth. He never once claimed to be the Son of God. The biblical texts were altered to include this little bit of fantasy as the Catholics needed a neato guy in the sky dude to make the Pagan converts pay attention in church. See, pagans had been worshipping Gods like Zeuss and Saturn, Loki, Thor, etc. for millenia. When Catholic church decided it wanted to be the all powerful church, they looked for away to combine Christianity and Paganism in one nice package everyone could enjoy. So the Pope at the time (who was not Christian, but a confessed pagan) combined the best parts of Paganism (dudes in the sky, and all that) with the Christians prophet (again I reinforce the word prophet as up to this time Jesus' followers did not think he was the son of God, they considered him to be what he was, a man who spoke the words of God) Jesus, into one new super cool religion that everyone could love. The Edict of Mycannea was the meeting where they decided in one day that Jesus was no longer a man, but a son of God, and himself a worthy diety. So since 63 AD they have taught this dogma, and forced it onto the masses, to increase turn out to services, and thusly increase the money in the offering plate. That is why the Catholic church to this day is the second largest land owner in the world.

Jesus was a man, just a mortal.
He is the son of God but we are all
God's children. Jesus didn't have a
lifeline to God. Jesus was a prophet
who became a Messiah by preaching
and teaching what he believed to be
God's wishes. Jesus was a Jew because
he was born one, not for any other reason.

The story of Jesus just like the rest of the
Bible is a series of allegories (stories with
multiple and hidden meanings).

Every story in the Bible is a life lesson, No
sea ever parted, no ark was ever afloat,
Jesus didn't walk on water and I know
this is going to make people angry but
Jesus was not resurrected in the way
almost everyone believes. That too is a
lesson of life.

Perhaps someday people will see with
their minds and not just their eyes.

Give me thumbs down if you will but
someday actually sit and read between
the lines. The Bible doesn't have a great
code. It simply isn't read correctly.

He knew the truth, but remember the God Head is made up of 3 beings, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost. So when Jesus was being God on Earth He still worshiped God in heaven, His Father out of respect for Him.

You asked earlier why people doubt the existence of God. Well it seems you have shown how confusing and contradictory the Bible can be.
I cant answer this question as you would like me to. You are your own 'God' and the sooner you stop looking to a cut and paste book of old text and start lookin at yourself, life and your code of conduct the better.
Im not saying Christianity is bad, just that you can still be a good person without all the bible hype.

Jesus Christ was supposed to be the son of God. He was born to a Jewish family. Obviously he was the first "christian". The religion was named for him so he wouldn't have grown up thinking Hey, I'm christian... would he? I don't know that he worshipped God so much as promoted the belief in God among people.

Jesus was born to an earthly Jewish mother.

However, Jesus never worshipped God. He related to Him as Father.

The only time in Jesus life that he used the word God, was at his death, when he cried... My God! My God! Why have you forsaken me?

Which we read about in Php 2:5-11; Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, "being in the form of God" thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made "himself" of no reputation, and took upon "him" the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Notice here that he took upon "himself" and made "himself" of no
reputation... This he did "himself", and only God could do this!

It was all apart of His "Own" Redemption Plan. To separate "Himself" from Himself!

Only God could do this! Amazing!

God's chosen people were the jews so it is only natural that if you wanted to come and save mankind from his sins you would be born a jew, a son always pays homage to his father

Maybe he didn't worship God. And he was Jewish, cuz he celebrated Passover, and as Catholics, we don't really celebrate Passover, just the Last Supper. He was celebrating Passover when the Last Supper happened.
