I understand that many people believe god to exist on faith. But from God's perspective, how would that be more desirable than making himself obvious to everyone? Why request faith when you could give people knowledge? If people could just see God and converse with him (prayer is not a conversation) and interact with him, I think it would draw more followers who were more loyal to the cause. If faith is the path to God, I don't understand why God would want it that way.

I agreed with a person on the subject of gays. It is NOT my opinion it is a fact. It is unatural to be gay and God will punish all gays that don't turn from their sin in the end. I may get reported again but I've done my part as it seems like no one has any morals any more or knows right from wrong. Just because society accepts something doesn't make it right, God doesn't change the rules. I would rather be in violation of yahoo guidelines (another word for taking away my freedom of speech) than be one of those in violation of God because he will do more than send a notice. Is there anyone out there that has sense enough to know that is it sick and unnatural to be gay? You might be born that way but you can be healed and not act on it.

God comes through at difficult times to strengthen our faith.

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord. -Psalm 31:24

Moving forward from this question... please read it first.

If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives." Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NIV

I'm still getting answers that "It was the culture back then..."

Well, wasn't it God that made the culture in the first place by establishing these laws?

He could have said, "If a woman is raped, you will not look down on her for it, and you shall treat her as if she were still a virgin," yet He doesn't say that. If He had said that, then the culture of the people would have been different, right? Because they did as God told them, right?

So, why would God create such a misogynistic culture at ANY time?

I love to act and I have been blessed by God the ability to speak in front of people and relate to them really well. Last night during my devotional/quiet time, I felt God calling me to the ministry!!! I am soo excited, I could hardly sleep after I went to tell my parents! What kind of careers, are available for those who are called to the ministry, but not to be a pastor/minister? I would love to travel and speak at Youth Evangelism Conferences or do the skits!! How to get involved?

For example, do you think God would prevent a nuclear war if it was to destroy all life on earth, or somehow allow us to survive it? Or if Global Warming is real and the ice caps somehow flood the whole earth, do you think God would do something to save us?

Why or why not?

About this verse -

If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives." Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NIV

A few answers were the tired explanation that "we are under a new covenant," or "that was a different culture and time," and so forth.

So, did women back then have different feelings? Did they hurt less? Did they feel less? Were they immune to emotional trauma?

Why do Christians believe that an omniscient, perfect, all-knowing, god, has predetermined EVERYTHING, and yet his mind can be changed through prayer? I mean, that would be kind of impossible to change a predetermined reality wouldn't it?

And don't say, I know prayer works because it's worked for me in the past, because that's already been disproven http://youtube.com/watch?v=BH0rFZIqo8A

I'm looking for your logical thought behind this.
