And How do you make God feel better? Have you ever loved anyone? When you love that person you protect that love, you would rather that person be with you then anybody else. That is what God wants from us, because He calls us His Children. He doesn't want us to love things that do not satisfy, only temporarily, He is the only one who will always be there for us, we are safe when we trust in God, rather than money, you can lose that, Health, you can get sick. Love, people break up all the time. So God knows that He is the best one for you, over others,

Has orange1 ever heard of blasphemy? If you had a son or daughter that you loved unconditionally and would do anything to make them happy yet they decided they wanted someone else for a parent would you not get jealous? The Bible plainly says God cant sin. If you believe the Bible pray God will open your eyes. You will never understand the Bible unless God wants you to.

The way God is jealous and the sin of jealousy are described in two different contexts.

The jealousy that God tells us is a sin is one where we envy another's posessions, such as a car, home, money, wife, etc. These things rightfully belong to the other person, but our greed only wants them for ourselves.

The type of jealously God uses to describe himself is in the excerpt from the Bible below::
Exodus 20:4-5
"You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God..."
This type of jelousy is wanting something that rightfully belongs to Him. He created you, so He deserves the glory. But when you glorify something that you owe nothing to instead of Him, that is the type of jealousy God is using here.

In summary, the Bible in no way contradicts itself.

I hope this helps you to understand God better and gets rid of any doubts you have about the validity of God's Word.

He created us, and when they say he is a jealous god, that means he is jealous to someone worshipping false idols, god is the only non-sinner.

So with your logic that means when you get Jealous because so many other people are better singers than you, that your a bigger sinner to make you feel better

Who says jealousy is a sin? Is it always attached with greed? It is mentioned that God is jealous in relation to idolatry. Wouldn't you be heartbroken and sad if your child started calling some other male and female person mom and dad. It's a jealous love for us, not a jealous greed to have us to Himself.

no we are not his excuse just to make him feel better, dude don't you know...wait here dude check this out ok here say for instance that god is the universe man, see dude i mean it answers all the age old questions about where god came from and how old he is ya know? like how old he is, well hes been here forever:so has space.where did he come from, well the universe has been here forever ya know? and like how did he get there or here and like who are his parents well space needs no planets its always been here and always will, to tell you the truth dude god is just picking random planets throughout every solar system just to have the humans inhibititating it to pray to him to give him energy and stuff, so you can say god, space, whoever is just "harvesting" us here on one of the "earths"

nah dude just joking i really don't know just ask a preacher

No, is not a jealous God, and we are not made to make him feel better. I have a question 4 u though, did you ask this question to make yourself feel better, because it sounds to me like you think that God is one of us, it sounds to me like you think that God thinks like us. I think you need not to be asking us this question, but God himself.

uuuuuuuuuuuuu. that's a good one you know got a very good point there I never thought of that before. Even though I do belive in god and know he is all mighty that does totally make sense. I would'nt know how to explain but I don't think he is a sinner we're just his creation so if we are his. why would we be adoring other nonsense less important stuff or idols than our own creator.

If your spouse was with another person, wouldn't you be jealous? While jealousy can also be a bad thing, perfect love naturally lends itself to a certain amount of jealousy....if you have no jealousy, you have no love.
