If you're going to ask a stupid question, then prepare for a civil one to be asked in return. What is the antithesis, the complete opposite of the moon as early civilizations would view it? The sun, right? What dictates 4 out of 5 of the prayer times a muslim prays by? The sun. The morning prayer, through the early evening prayer are all relative to where the sun is. So it would seem rather odd that the complete opposite of the moon would have such great reverance...would it not?
But you of course had no desire in getting a real answer, so this will fall on deaf (pointed) ears.

I would say never. They are always confronted with this historical fact, but they are in denial. Something like a bunch of alcoholics. Admitting it would be the first step.
Those who do take the first step walk away from Islam.
Of course, walking away from Islam puts their life in danger because the Koran (may it be flushed in the toilet) commands that apostates be killed.
It's sad though that Allah is the moon God. Because I really think Allah has a lot more in common with YoURANUS

I am catholic: and I must say that some of these commets are disturbing.
God is God, and judgement is reserved for God alone, not no Muslim, no Christian, no Jew, no person.
For the Christians: Did not Christ say Love your enemies. That when your enemies strike you on the left cheek offer him the right?
Muslims, correct me if I am wrong, but does not Mohammed say the Allah is merciful, and forgiving?
Humanity has much to learn.

Lets be fair here; Muslims do not worship the moon God Allah just like Christians do not worship the Roman Sun God; the problem here is 'tradition'.
Old pagan tradition lives on in the Christian faith just like the Moon God is very much alive within today's Islam.
