years? You think people would lost interest in something that doesn't work. I saw a site that sells a bunch of spells and one is a spell for legal cases and that explains OJ Simpson.

If Jesus is the son of God and God is omnipotent, why do Christians pray to Jesus rather than to God?

My favorite passage is ....

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 5:43-44

The reason I like this passage is that this proves that God loves all. Both Believers and Non-believers. He encourages peace amongst all his children.

Or perhaps it is just assumed. If one happened to write a biography of Jesus'(pbuh) sayings, would have just assumed that was the word of God?

can you tell me the scripture where it says he drank wine or whatever? I thought a Rabbi or a priest could'nt drink, so I always figured Jesus could'nt, but I don't know for sure.

Just go to that page, it is inflammatory, I know. Deliberately so. And it has probably been mentioned on this site so often.

I think it is just as pointless to engage in quoting scripture against a body of belief, as it is to support it, but it is still puzzling to me how christians seem to be so happy to place such great faith in "scripture", that is so old and questionable.

Could you please comment on the site generally, and whether, if you are christian, you have any concerns about the way people seem to place so much faith in words that are equally likely to be written by men, rather than gods.

Further, if you have studied the history of the Catholic church, could you advise of what you think about the way they so often used manipulation and force to maintain power, through the inquisitions for example.

Also, if you do have great faith in the scripture as the word of god, what do you think about the behaviour of your church leaders over time?

Please red entire question before posting.

Not into that kind of stuff at all but I just saw a question about Hitler and saw a thing on myspace about the Nazi's practices with the occult. Anyway, I was wondering if the Necronomicon was just a legend or a real book. The interesting thing is that while H.P. Lovecraft was supposed to have invented the word and the legend several sources have claimed it or SOMETHING LIKE IT as a truth. Opinions?

kill all people who worship God by means of images? It made it clear that this was a command for all time to come, and that it applied to absolutely anyone, anywhere, who worshiped God through an image.

What would you do?
