Maybe some of the animosity on here is due to the trolls that run Yahoo Answers! They won't give me an answer as to why this is a violation....yet there are ppl on here that use foul language and have pornographiic images in their avatars. Y! answers is out of control. Ugh!

Most ppl become Christians for good reasons but they get caught up in debates and issues that has nothing to do with why they became a Christian in the first place. You cant defend a Christian lifestyle that's why they suck at it. Its not all they fault of course in fact if you strip away all the bullshit Christiany could be a peaceful fulfilling journey, but no it has more politcal BS than anything else. Christians for the most part are just simple folks they may not be the smartest or the most educated but they work hard and make a attempt to defend their beliefs which is not based on any actual facts but they whole lifestyle depends on faith not facts. The only Christians that can put up a good debate is the ones that is more "secular" than christians and christians dont even like them. I think Christians are good ppl at heart everyone just do what works for them

I have never quite fit in, but felt that since my husband's family were Baptists that I should follow suit and raise our children accordingly. After 22 years of marriage, I divorced, but stayed in the church. I was treated as an outcast. Members I had known for years really snubbed me off. The singles group that I was in was an odd mixture of men and women of all ages and it was filled with either jealous women who could never try and even be a sincere friend, or people who exercised such religiosity that they were just plain kooks. The topper was when I borrowed my boyfriend's car while mine was in the repair shop and the rumors started flying that he had moved in. People said hurtful things about others until I just plain had enough of trying to be friends, that I left and haven't been back since last January. I'm weary of worrying about the end of the world and trying to believe that this life is not the high priority. Is religion all a lie to control the masses?

Quran 6.112 YUSUFALI: Likewise did We make for every Messenger an enemy,- evil ones among men and jinns, inspiring each other with flowery discourses by way of deception. If thy Lord had so planned, they would not have done it: so leave them and their inventions alone. http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/006.qmt.html#006.112

Ah yes...the author of the Quran sure knew how to keep the sheep in the flock.

Dont you love it. Look out Muslims!!! Look out for those people with "flowery discourses" and their "inventions"!!

Well, Allah gives a clear plan here doesnt he? Whenever you hear some flowery ole discourse and new fangled inventions, well theres your enemy.

Oh by the way, for the magical Genies (jinn) out there reading this....men and jinn must remember to avoid smart sounding people with cool inventions...its not just "men". Ok?

I remember reading a quote from I think a modern author, philosopher, musician, someone, suggesting the idea that Judas was the "true" son of god, as the sacrifice of creating such a universally hated figure to polarise people towards believing you was of greater meaning than the sacrifice of Christ.
Has anyone heard of such a quote? It was written in a fairly "dramatic" style I think, yet I can't find it anywhere.

This isn't a question about whether the above idea is right or wrong, rather one to ask if anyone has heard of a quote alone those lines? And if so, could they point me to it? Thanks
