Wouldn’t a compassionate God want man to use his knowledge to alleviate suffering?

The fuss is over the question is it moral to play god in creating human life. Cloning for any use is basically playing God. Now as I am a Christian I would be expected to take the view of all the rest and say that it is immoral, but I prefer to take the scientific approach to it. If we have the technology to help I believe that we should use it to help. Still I am one opinion in a billion.

Yes to alleviate human suffering but not to play 'god' in the process.

There will always be suffering, there's not way to eradicate suffering, homelessness, harm, danger...its going to exist until the Lord returns to rapture His people. God is compassionate..He sent His only son to die on the cross for our sins so that we could recieve His spirit - the Holyghost.
