Actually that is a one of the principals of gnostic thought. God doesn’t believe there’s a god above him, so he’s an atheist, and all his angels are atheists. Surely such a god would have some sympathy for atheists.

God needs no God. He is God and he is the Almighty. He created earth and animals and man. And he created his son through the virgin birth so that we might live through HIM. His son Jesus died on the cross and GOD and HIS SON became one. God the SON. GOD THE FATHER and GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT. He doesnt need to worship. We worship the trinity.He is the Spirit of creation .

Also, a lot of atheists are moral, logical people. Would a loving god truly favor the Christians who are rude and nasty to such atheists over the latter?

Actually god sees the works of the most righteous as filthy rags (menstrual cloth) the only way to heaven is to admit that you fall far short of Gods glory and trust in Jesus to pay for your inequity.
