Anderson Cooper is doing a special tonight on "what is a Christian". Are you Christian if you vote Democratic or Republican, if you believe in abortion, if you support gay marriage, if you take the bible literal, or don't take the bible literal, if you speak in tongues, if you pray for your family, if you believe in Creationism?

Have you ever noticed that you can say something bad about one group and not have your answer removed and follow the same guidelines on another question and get your answer torn out because the "Political Correct Police" said you were bad?

My sis in law throws the word Christian out to separate her friends intro groups, ie her "Christian friends". My wife and I aren't included because we don't regularly go to church I guess but we still consider ourselves Christians. What do you think?

Do other Christians think of ghosts and spirit guides as demons or familiar spirits sent to intice and deceive or is that just me?

I am tired of Sylvia Brown glorifying talking to dead people like there are here to help us. I believe when we die we don't have the luxury to stay on earth and to help people out. I do however, believe in angels and demons and I was wondering if other Christians feel that these "ghosts" are really demons too.

If there is a seperation of church and state here in the U.S. Is there room for a man of God in politics? Are the views of a righteous man completely respected in political arenas? Finally, Is it accepted honestly by the religious body? If so is there room or them to judge the ones that do not feel that it should be so?

I do not believe in holy books or dogma. I believe if there is a "God" then he wouldn't be who the, imperfect, Jedeo-Christian books make him out to be. With flaws, such as emotions, spite, greed, an ego and so on. "God" would be perfect. I am not sure if there really is a "God" but there had to have been some unseen driving force behind the BigBang. There has to be a reason laws exist in nature, something beyond science. I believe there is a good chance Jesus existed but he was just a great person, and not a prophet. Also I do not believe he would have wanted religions to spring up because of him. I believe we are only human and we make mistakes. There is no such thing as heaven and hell, but there could be something after we die, no one knows. And people shouldn't worry about what that thing is, we should live first and make the most of it. I believe we have so much potential.

I believe people so have much untapped potential. I

Any truth that was in there has been long obscured by the lies that preachers and others slipped in.

Many of the scriptures contradict, which is why the vatican edited and changed the bible before releasing the "official" version a millenia ago.

Would God really hinge our salvation on the acceptance of a doctrine that exists in such a book. Created and maintained by a church that hides pedophiles, persecutes homosexuals, lies about condom use, and places women beneath men in relation to god?

God made Adam out of the dust,
But thought it best to make me first;
So I was made before the man,
According to God's Holy plan.
My whole body God made complete
Without arms or hands or feet.
My ways and acts did God control,
But in my body He placed no soul.
A living being I became,
And Adam gave to me a name.
Then from his presence I withdrew,
For this man Adam I never knew.
All my Maker's laws I do obey,
And from these laws I never stray.
Thousands of me go in fear,
But seldom on the earth appear.
Later, for a purpose God did see,
He placed a living soul in me.
But that soul of mine God had to claim,
And from me took it back again.
And when this soul from me had fled,
I was the same as when first made;
Without arms, legs, feet, or soul,
I travel on from pole to pole.
My labors are from day to night,
And to men I once furnished light.
Thousands of people both young and old,
Did by my death bright lights behold.
No right or wrong can I conceive;
The Bible and it's teachings I can't believe.
The fear of death doesn't trouble me;
Pure happiness I will never see.
And up in Heaven I can never go,
Nor in the grave or Hell below.
So get your Bible and read with care;
You'll find my name recorded there.
