Yet another condtradiction of perfection. Don't forget the Native Americans and the Aztecs and Mayans and Africans and Asians and Indians.

First, remember when the Book was written and how the stress of importance of the time to spread the Word and gain confidence in the message. Second, I would think in the Lord's infinite wisdom, He knows us as His children and we are prone to make mistakes. I don't believe that the "forgiveness factor" is cafeteria style and somehow He picks and chooses when and how you insult anyone and whether to forgive you or not. Remember all He asks is for you to believe in His words and follow His lead in thoughts and actions. I would imagine that if those bad things you mentioned are perceived as unforgiveable, simple words (uh, hot air?) would not dent the sensibilities of the Father, Son or the Holy Spirit.
A good book to read is by Neale Donald Walsh, "Conversations with God", which can be for anyone who would like another perspective on religion, God and spiritual guidance. No intention to misquote, but Walsh describes as "merely utterances: noises that stand for feelings, thoughts and experience. They are symbols...may help you understand something. Experience allows you to know." When you cannot experience, you have feelings and thoughts. Words are the least effective means of communication considering we either can choose the wrong words, mistake their meaning, speak in anger or despair, or not convey the real problem.
As far as being unforgiveable, it's hard to speak for God and His infinite compassion and wisdom, of what He would do in the long run, no?

First of all let's analyze the words "holy ghost". "holy ghost" is the same as "holy spirit" which is God's active force. This is not a personage or spiritual being. Like you are talking, running, driving, etc. that is your active force.
Jehovah God does not allow blaspheme of any kind. It doesn't matter if it is towards Him, Jesus, or His active force. These are the two personages in the God Head. Not 3 as the Catholic Church teaches. There is no "trinity". It's easy to understand if you read and study the bible. Jehovah the Father, and Jesus the Son are one (meaning united). They are two separate personages, but united as one.
God has given us the Ten Commandments to live by, One being "Thou shall not kill". Killing of any kind is a sin and directly against God's Commandments. There is also an 11th Commandment in the New Testament that tells us to: "Love One Another". God is a merciful, gracious, and forgiving Creator to a point. He knows our hearts. We are to go to Him and ask for forgiveness for our sins. True forgiveness is given only if we are asking with sincere repentance. Which means you will never do it again. This is the only way we can be forgiven according to His Word, the Bible.

Blaspheming the holy spirit is unforgivable because it can cause a person to lose their spiritual life if they believe the lies you tell. Everything else is forgivable because God will undo all the effects of these other things. It doesn't mean he will forgive sins committed over and over again by the same person either. AND he can read the heart and know for certain if a person is truly sorry.

The Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) is the One who convicts people of their sin and brings them to faith in Christ. To insult/blaspheme the Holy Spirit means that a person is denying their own sinfulness or refusing to rely on Christ for salvation. Since Jesus is the only way to God, to refuse to trust in him means that a person will not be saved.
And yes, though it is nearly impossible for us to understand, Jesus paid for the sins of the world, and all who believe on him will be saved, regardless of what they have done in the past.

It is unforgivable to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, which means that you deny Him. And ultimately those who blaspheme the Holy Spirit will not enter the Kingdom of God and that is why it is unpardonable.

Nothing is unforgiveable. No-one said that forgiveness is easy though.

The unforgivable sin or blaspheme against the Holy Spirit can only be done by God’s elect when they are delivered up for a testimony.
Matt.12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
Luke 12:11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
Luke 12:12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
Luke 21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
Luke 21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
Luke 21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
Luke 21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
The unforgivable sin will not happen because that God’s elect cannot wait for the opportunity, adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

It's low self confidence. The holy ghost is jealous, vain, and insecure.
