There is no way we can know if it is or isn't if we can't remember if we've ever lived before.

We live a sinful life and then reborn back into it to try again and so on until we get it right.

I've read before that reincarnation is one of the oldest forms of religion and more people in the present time believe in it than anything else, this idea would explain why.

Read the books "Misquoting Jesus", "The End of Faith" and "Letter to a Christian Nation" and let me know what it is that keeps you "believing" in Christianity, God, Jesus, the Bible, etc. The modern world is being torn apart by religious extremists, as well as moderates (read The End of Faith to find out why I mention moderates). Is it not time to swallow your pride and finally accept that this facade of religion is truly hurting people? Faith is no answer when there is so much proof in the other direction. It's not ignorance, because the truth is out there. Stupidity is not an answer, there are many intelligent people who still think irrationally. It just boggles my mind on how so many people can still believe, or at least say they believe. When I attended church, I left my heart and mind open to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, whatever, and did not feel anything during 30 yrs. Why lie to each other and yourself when you are partially responsible for so much hurt in the world.

Christians believe that everything is created by god, while scientists believe in evolution. Can these two go hand in hand?

What was it, or what is it that Jewish people do not agree with (hense they are Jewish and not Christian)? Do you believe that He lived? and Died? I am respectfully asking, I am nopt trying to make fun or act stupid, I am really interested.

See if they try to change me, that won't work. If they try to get me to stop being gay, that won't work. I've tried many times to be something I'm not, and I'm telling everyone IT DOES NOT WORK. I'll always be this way, and I am NOT HURTING ANYONE. So, is it possible to convert to Christianity knowing that I am who I am? For those who say that homosexuality is not natural and it's wrong or it's cureable, well guess what. You are NOT gay, so you don't know what it feels like. It feels more natural to us than anything. Sorry to say that; I know it will gross some of you out, me talking about such a "disgusting" lifestyle, but I think it's important to get that point across.

examples: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8 NAB)

"And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 NAB)

"On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete." (John 16:23-24 NAB)

Jesus says god will grant me all prayers. God or Jesus haven't granted me a prayer yet. Why is it ok for Jesus to be a habitual liar?

I just honestly want to know...let me explain to you my little situation...
My fiance's mother is a devout Christain. She doesn't just go through the motions, she believes, truly believes, and she has more faith than I have ever seen in one person. But there is one thing...She has cancer, and I don't think she's expected to live that long. She's going through kemo and is losing all of her hair.

What I want to know is this. How can she love a God that has not shown her love? Or is it considered love that he is taking her away from her family? I'm just confused and I really want to know...Is there even a loving God? Because by the evidence I've seen, (throughout my life, mind you) I have seen no proof of such things.

Hi sacrifice cleaned those who accept him of original sin! Without that, we all go to hell. But recently I've met a lot of Christians who reject Genesis, the fall of man and original sin, yet believe in Jesus. Yes, I know its not really necessary to understand the bible. One must only have faith in Jesus, but I find it frustrating that people don't understand why they need to be saved.

When you see trash questions like "Why does jesus love hitler and want to burn cute little puppies?" or something equally ludicrous, they are clearly trying to incite a backlash for their own purile amusement.

The only answer they want to see is your outrage. Answering with "You're going to burn in hell" or "Read the Bible" is just what they want to see.

Just don't bother. Report them. Move on.

Am I alone in thinking this way?

I beileve in God and submit to him, but i do not beleive that jesus is God. I do believe jesus is the SON of God, but just that, nothing more.

I beleive that jesus died on the cross, and God rose him from the dead three days later, ect. ect. but as jesus said he was the son of God i beleive that he is the "son" of God and not god,

Does it say anywhere in the Bible (OT OR Tanakh bible only please) that Gods son was going to be God himself? Or that when Gods son reveals himself that we should Worship him?

Oh and the Tanakh is the Hebrew Bible.

which is different from the old testament.
the old testament is only a portion of the Tanakh.

What if the Biblical version of God is not at all like the true Creator? What if the true Creator does not require us to follow dogma but only requires us to be good and just? What if Jesus Christ were just a man around whom a cult of divinity was created? Is this possible? If so, and it is true, would that not make zealots of all persuasions feel foolish?
