Hi sacrifice cleaned those who accept him of original sin! Without that, we all go to hell. But recently I've met a lot of Christians who reject Genesis, the fall of man and original sin, yet believe in Jesus. Yes, I know its not really necessary to understand the bible. One must only have faith in Jesus, but I find it frustrating that people don't understand why they need to be saved.

A lot of Christians don't know squat. A lot of them don't even know why we celebrate Christmas. A lot of Christians are Christians because they have too low of an IQ to actually join and understand a religion that is not based on just faith.

How does a man eatting an Apple or fruit have anything to do with anything about religion. And if eatting apples makes people realize you are naked, why are you covering your private parts insted of your mouth. Yes I see why many people have a problem with this. But if you read the whole story and understand(1.) Mary's virgin birth had a relationship to the Adam and Eve story. (2.) The anti-Christ was a man and not a serpent. (3.) Bible says the physical form of that Serpent was actually changed. (4.) And the Devil has many names including; Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.(5.) This is also a man not a snake. Here is a referance to Satan being a man. 12How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Isaiah 14:16
They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the MAN that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
You can see or understand God has allowed Satan to hide in mankind throught out the ages as a man. People today do not understand even what Sin is how can they believe what the orginal sin was? Disbelieving the Bible words or God's words is Sin and people committe sins just like Eve did because some cool religious man talks mankind into believing a LIE. This is the story from the Beginning of time, it has never changed. Even in the book of Revelations where it says the Dragon pulled 1/3 of the stars with his tail, this is a metifore for Satan pulling the Angels of Heaven with a LIE, the lie being a Tale of the overthow of Heaven. These angels buy the Lie and the battle is ON. Revelation 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Here is the Battle ; Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
God's seed always believes the Bible and anything else is against this seed because this seed will destroy the World as we know it. Close to the truth does not count for anything in the last days; Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

I see people will believe anything about Jesus whether substantiated or not . and I don't worship him : I admire him for his stance if that was even only partially accepted by scholars .
How much ignorance must I support to gain your acceptance and then lose the truth and acceptance of others which i hold more dearly . your frustration is my pity ...it never ceases to to non plus me how others can lack the vision of critical thinking and courage to find the deeper truth that superstition fails.
I think I see your folly but this format is far too small for such lengthy discourse and I know the chances are you could only lend a deaf ear at best .. oh well some things never change.
please take a grain of salt as I'm not here to offend we just see differently. As a matter of fact I'm sorry I even tried to answer.

peace out

I'm not a Christian so I can't speak for them. However, I find the concept of Original Sin to be very distasteful and very unreasonable. It is beyond my imagination that sin could be inherited by something that two of our ancestors did. It is possible that it is just a marketing technique to scare people into buying the product.

If I were a believer I would prefer to believe that people are fundamentally good because god made them that way even though they clearly have a lot of growing up to do.

There is more than one original sin. The only one people in Christian Churches know about is the Temptation in the GARDEN of EDEN.
The first original sin was when we entered into the physical forms that God had made and forgot where we came from.

this is just as for this one i don't have any references in scripture.but, unfortunately some "Christians" like to change and use the Bible as it fits their needs. if one is truly going to believe In Christ than (as I see it) one must Believe the whole Bible. because if you don't believe genesis, How can the rest of the Book Be true. including the Prophesies about Jesus that were in the "Old Testament" that were fulfilled? if you want a list of those by the way go to my profile and e-mail me I will be happy to respond

The fact that one does not understand or accept original sin does not negate faith in Jesus for salvation. Of course it demonstrtes a lack of study of scriptures, but there will be plenty of imature Christians in Heaven.

because we are born seed of adam we are born into sin that adam committed, passed down over all mankind. we fall short of the glory of God. He sent His son to die so that none shall perish.

we are naturally sinful. the bible says there is no one who is good, not one. without Jesus we would not be allowed into heaven, because we cannot do enough here on earth to earn our way ourselves. He is our atonement, our advocate, our redeemer.

in regards to your bible comment, I feel and know that it IS important to understand the bible, and with the help of the Holy Spirit you can understand it. God wants us to know Him intimately, He desires a relationship with us. that consists of prayer, and reading His word. read the pslams, they constantly talk about how they live, breath, walk, and talk the word. It renews our mind, gives a light in dark times, gives us a path to follow.

Praise God that He sent His Son, for those who accept the Son is Free, and become a new creature! the old is gone the new has come! and not only that but we become seeds of Abraham and the blessings promised to him are given to those adopted into the kingdom by accepting salvation and Jesus into their hearts! Praise the Lord!

You got quiet a good point here. Christ is the Word (In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God...and the word became flesh and dwelt among us). Christ is also in his word. If one has Christ in him, he will say Amen to the word for the word does not disbelieve the word. lets not forget that Christ was rejected not by unbelievers but by religious people in his day. The same is happening today where the same Christ (word) is being rejected by the churches (religious sects of this day)

The Ten Commandments were given to us to show us that we are unable to live up to the standard of perfection required of God to enter His presence - we sin. Adam and Eve were in the presence of God but fell from the standard of perfection when they coveted the fruit of the tree of knowledge. You can't have it both ways, either the Bible is true or it isn't. As for me, I believe it with every fiber of my being. Jesus is the only way.
