Just think this book was written over 2000 years ago. NOBODY knows what happed 2000 years ago. some guy could of chewed some popy plant sat down and said i am going to write a book on life. Not thinking in years to come people are going to take it as all truth. the bible condradics it self. with god loving us but then killing us in so many ways (flooding to world, killing the first son of the romans or whoever they did that to) and why "because we didnt belive in him". i just dont understand how you could think this is true that a guy got eaten by a whale or a boat carried every animal or people walked through a sea. Just use some common sence. help me understand this.

Through studies, observing events and news, and conversations, I have concluded that most people have similar faith, ideaology, and what they want most in the world. The differences come, when you bring religion into the picture. Everyone believes that their top-most deity or God is one of love, peace, and understanding, but then they turn towards their religion that tells them that others must convert to their religion, that certain places are holy and must be retained, or that they must do certain things to please their deity or God. An example and just my opinion, but going down to the core beliefs of what the Isreal's and the palestinian's believe God is all about, shouldn't they both be offering these partials of land, because...it is land, and their ideas of the essense of God is peace, love and understanding...not land. Yes, special things happend at these places, but God would probably want them to love one another first before wanting a peice of land.

Exod. 22: 29-30, "29 You shall not delay the offering from your harvest and your vintage. The first-born of your sons you shall give to Me. 30 You shall do the same with your oxen and with your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days; on the eighth day you shall give it to Me."

One of numerous examples from the "inerant" bible.

Romans 4

18Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be."[d] 19Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah's womb was also dead. 20Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

If someone prays to God, will God refuse to answer if you call him by the wrong name,or speak another language?

Even the Bible has several names for God.
