GOD knows all. If you refuse to listen to HIM and follow HIS WORD then you have a problem. The BIBLE may use several "titles" for GOD, that does not mean that HE is any different now then HE was then. He is able to discern any language that you are able to speak. That should not even come into this question. I know that there are a number of religious people oujt there that believe in man-made directives rather than follow "precisely" what we are told to do. They are in the wrong. GOD sent HIS SON so that we would have an opportunity to be among the saved. The OLD TESTAMENT was flawed. We are to use it "for our learning" not as our directives today. The New Testament has been in effect since CHRIST left the Apostles after HIS RESURRECTION. There were a number of witnesses to this event. The Apostles were told to spread the GOOD NEWS and they did. The NEW TESTAMENT is our guide. Init we are told exactly what we are expected to do. I hope that I have not rambled on too far from your original question. As a Christian, we have an open communication line with GOD called prayer. The answer to a prayer is not necessarily YES. It may not be in our best interest or that of HIS PLAN. We need to understand that everything that happens that is done by man is done of his free will. I hope that each of those that read this will spend some time tonight and the remainder of their lives reading and studying GOD's BOOK, the BIBLE, for the remainder of their adult lives. It was written over a 1500 year period by more than 40 writers without any discrepancies. There are numerous Old Testament prophesies to Christ from centuries before HIS COMING!

Just because there is only one God (only one Being can fit the whole description), that doesn't mean that there is only one powerful spirit in the known (and unknown) universe. Many religions record spiritual "enemies" of God. The Christian faith even details one "big bad", the Enemy or Satan, that likes to pose as God.
It is possible to address worship/prayer/meditation to the "wrong" being. There have been MANY posers: Baal, Mithras, Anubis, Set, Jupiter, and Molech, to name just a few. Focus a prayer or whatever to one of those beings, and you are NOT talking to God.
But if you just cry out to "God" in general, it doesn't matter what language you speak. As long as YOU know who you are talking through, He will get the message. It is really your heart that matters.

You can't pray to the wrong God, as long as that God is associated with 'good' attributes. In fact, you can't do any wrong with praying, any praying.
So pray to me. I will not refuse to answer.

You're not just calling him by the wrong name. You're not talking to the true God at all if it's a false god.
