Why are so many cases of creation "scientists" being exposed as frauds? Do you really think these people should be trusted with any aspect of childrens education when they are caught out in bare faced lies.
The link below is but one of many examples

http://www.bmc.uu.se/~danl/kuznetsov.html

Is this why so many people hate the thought of these people teaching lies to there children dressed up like scientific fact?

I have just started reading a translated version of the Qur'an ( The Nobel Quran) and am curious about some early passages.

Chap. 2
23. "And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur'ân) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him ), then produce a Sûrah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allâh, if you are truthful.

24. But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers."

Chap 2.
62. "Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, [] whoever believes in Allâh and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve []."

These lines seem contradictory to me, can anyone provide clarification?

i cant name all of the sects of christianity but i am sure happy with the idea that there are so many sects of the same religion out there and yet there are those who attack each sect saying that the others are going to hell.

keep in mind that muslims also do this as well with there 3 different sects.

other religions and non religion DO NOT ATTACK EACH OTHER keep that in mind as well

I want to apologize for writeing it. I realize that I offended a lot of people and I feel very bad. I saw a question that made me very upset and I guess I took it out on everyone else. I'm truly not like that and I do respect others beliefs. In fact it makes me angry when I hear people saying things like I said in this question. Will you please forgive me?

For example, for me, experiencing discovery unfailingly does. Every time I discover something or learn something new, or watch myself or others grow, I'm completely astounded by life and reality. I'm reminded of how I thought there couldn't possibly be more than I have seen or even can imagine, yet Bam! There it is!! and it's always amazing to find out how wrong I am.

How about you? What does that for you?

Leviticus

It is permissible for men to have slaves, provided the slaves are not brethren, i.e. members of the tribes of Israel:

"And if one of your brethren who dwells by you becomes poor, and sells himself to you, you shall not compel him to serve as a slave. As a hired servant and a sojourner he shall be with you, and shall serve you until the Year of Jubilee. And then he shall depart from you—he and his children with him—and shall return to his own family. He shall return to the possession of his fathers. For they are My servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves. You shall not rule over him with rigor, but you shall fear your God." (Leviticus 25:39-43)

As the continuation makes clear, non-Israelites were genuinely enslaved:

What came first, Hidrogen, helium, Carbon? How did they any of them evolve into something else. Can Hydrogen reproduce to create more little hydrogen. How did Oxygen come to be from Hydrogen and combine to form water. Where did the wate form adn how did those elements get there and combine. If the universe is 12 billion years old how do we have things that are 14 billion light years away. That would mean they were there 14 billion years ago and it would have taken them another 14 billion years (traveling at the speed of light to get there, which they couldn't) now we are up to 28+ billion years. Then there was the time for them to form. Evolving from hydrogen must have taken a trillion+ years. But the question is how did the first Hydrogen come to be and how did there get to be 2?

I have been taking RCIA and considering becoming Catholic. There are many, many things that I have discovered that The Church is right on the money with, but I have tried praying the rosary and felt extremely guilty for praying to Mary. I apologized to God and sensed that I had done the right thing. If I don't join that will probably be why. Whay do you think? I love so much of what I have found.

P.S. I know that I could be Catholic and not pray to Mary, but that doesn't make me feel any better.
