Surely the technologys and industrys like mining and medicine that make use of these datings of the earth and evolutionary biology work and benifit ALL our lives
So why would god make us think one thing by the study of nature but tell us another through 2000+ year old profits?
Is god mis-leading?.

It was also said in the Old Testament that Jesus would come, and almost everyone (even non-Christians) believes he really did exist.

Wouldnt this count as credit for the bible in terms of credibility?

One of the names in the Old Testament that God uses is El Qanna. This means My Name Is Jealous.

If being jealous is bad, how can one of the names of God be Jealous?

This is not a trick question and has a real answer that is not a contradiction. This is a "contradiction?" that I had to shelf in my mind because I did not understand how this could be. I had to shelve this lack of understanding because I believe the bible to be completely true, even though I may not have complete understanding of everything the bible says or means because of the word structure. I believe this because the bible says that it is authored by God and written by men.

Man makes mistakes, but God does not and God's word is always true. Man tries to keep his word, God does keep His word.
