I believe it all happens at once. In a twinkle of an eye, like a thief in the night.

The "rapture" is not a concept that is taught in the Bible, nor can the word rapture even be found in the Bible.
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." 2 Peter 3:10
Christ will not return to the Earth to rule for any period of time.
"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4:17

Shaul/Paul states that before Yeshua/Jesus returns, the "man of lawlessness"(anti-messiah/christ) must be revealed and that Yeshua/Jesus returns at the "last shofar/trumpet" which is after the "seventh seal" is broken.
I personally take this as at the near end of the "seven weeks/
years". I personally believe that the "return of Moshiach/Messiah
Yeshua/Jesus" will be a very public event that no one will misunderstand or misinterpret. If the rapture is pre-trib, then the majority remaining residents of the earth would tshuva/repent, yet, Yochanan/John states that the majority of the earth did not tshuva/repent even with the outpourings of the "seven bowls" of Yah's wrath.
But,"that day" is only known to Abba Yah, the avi/father and no one else - not even Yeshua/Jesus the ben/son. So, my belief is to work on having "oil in my lamp" and if the return is pre-trib
"HALLELUYAH" - mid-trib "HALLELUYAH" or post-trib "HALLELUYAH"

2 dif. events. The rapture comes acceptable before the great Tribulation and the 2d Coming of Christ will come on the tip of the trib. in certainty, which will end the Trib. i think of that's the SDAs who have faith that's an analogous time and a few others.

Christ does not come until the end of the tribulation. Jesus said that the believers (Christians) were not appointed unto wrath). How will they escape the wrath if they remain on earth? If they do not take the mark of the beast-they will suffer man's wrath, if they do then they will suffer God's wrath.
Where is the rapture in Revelations? Maybe I have it wrong?

I have to be honest, I really don't know. I have been wanting to research what is stated in Revelations, but I didn't thing that I would understand it with out reading the rest of the Bible first. I am almost finished with the old testament. How have you come to your conclusion regarding the second coming?

I always thought it was one simultaneous event. Never really thought there was two. I know its coming someday, the signs are everywhere. I just don't know if it will be in my lifetime.... maybe my children's......... ALL I KNOW is God told me not to worry about it until it happens, and to live my life as full and righteous as a 'imperfect mortal human' can.
I once saw a bumper sticker on a car...... "WARNING: In event of Rapture, this car will be Unmanned.

I don't remember where off hand but I do know that there are not two "second comings"
I have been accused of some pretty nasty things saying this by those leaving tapes and articles for those who will be 'left behind'
It is time to get those lamps ready now!

Nope.
It says we will meet Him in the *air* - He's not "returning" at the rapture.
1Thessolonians 4:17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
When He does return it will be to establish His 1000 year reign.
