Because they have been conditioned, brain washed, and indoctrinated as children to believe that faith is a virtue. That belief without evidence is a good thing. It is this that subverts logic, reason and the education of science and children.

And your qualifications are? Really this is just a microcosm of society. Some are smart, some informed some stupid, some well, it takes all types to make up a world.

Also is your question somehow tied to your religious views, cause there's a lot of very smart folk's who believe and a lot of very dumb ones that don't and vice versa.

What I like about this forum is everybody gets a chance to speak. You can listen or not

It's the classroom syndroma. They were never allowed/fast enough to answer questions at school- the smart ones always seemed to know the answers before them.

However, they now gain pleasure from answering (or not answering) questions, even if they don't contribute anything, and think that by association they also are given attention and classify as smart.

Well, it's probably because there are so many stupid, ignorant and misinformed people in the world. I don't think it's exclusive to yahoo answers.

I used to think that too... But most of the people involving themselves with this answer thing are Junior High or High School kids. In the grand scheme of things, they really don't know that much.

Cut 'em some slack!

most of the religion questions i've read are not well defined and its the answers which bring their own bias to the table tottally proving that most religious people don't understand logic as it applies to beliefs and as for the science questions there too most of the questions i've read are like word problems with vital pieces of info leftout.

I have no idea...People blindly believe what ever they are told or read....It seems like nobody has ever heard of Cross referencing before. If I hear someone make a claim I check and re-Check the info I have been given. Some people are just dumb.

They're everywhere. I really wish the ones with the disgusting avatars would go, though. I logged off probably over an hour ago, shortly after they started. Just came back, and they're still at it. Disgusting.
