God isnt misleading us, the religous ones are. The God of MY understanding has no problem reconciling spiritualy, faith and science.

Have you read the Bible....have you studied Science/Evolution?
you have asked a question that many struggle with there is an argument for every spectrum....and if you have not read anything then there is no point in me wasting time trying to discuss something like that with an ignorant person....READ and make your own conclusions. Base you opinion off fact not off what someone told you. Go to the library...hurry run. Grab the Bible or the Quran. By the way.....the Earth according to several theories was evolved from the so called "Big Bang" an explosion in outer space. Who created that? What was the explosion caused by? If Gases caused that explosion where did the gases come from....there is still an void...scientifically there are still questions with no answer...just as there are in the Bible. I you are atheist....good for you. I LOVE GOD and that makes me feel good....

First of all, evolution is a theory that is misinterpreted as a fact.
One of my closest friends is a scientist and when she has had to submit items for carbon dating, she has had to give a range of when she thinks the piece is from. This is due to the fact that carbon dating is not 100% accurate and before deciding on a date, they take several different factors into account.
God's word is not misleading or inaccurate. People who mis-interpret the Bible can add to the confusion that people have regarding this issue. Ask about particular mis-leading, deceptive and manipulative issues and I will give you clear answers to those.

God doesn't lie. "Scientific" Creationists lie and call it God's truth. I wouldn't want to be them, come Judgement Day.
The selection of amino acids could be a simple chiral machanism.. Aconitase, an enzyme in the citric acid cycle, acts on citric acid, an achiral molecule, in such a way that although oxaloacetate is regenerated, two carbons have been removed in each pass through the cycle, and replenished from the acetyl-CoA brought into the cycle. It's not random.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Er, Um, Sorry... Got carried away there.
You obviously have not done much research into this subject. Or you are reading books with the title "How to disprove Christianity in creation".
God is everywhere! Humans (aka SCIENCE) still cannot reproduce a single cell from nothing, do you really want to tell me that there wasnt a divine being involved in the creation of our world regardless of proof?
If you look into and research Creation Science, you will notice that MOST of the scientists who are now working to find "proof" that God created the world (which I believe is all around us when we look at the beauty of creation) about 75% of them were once looking to disprove it and found that there has to be a God.
Thanks for trying.
Happy Holidays!

Instead of taking the more complicated, convoluted path of assuming God is lying to you, wouldn't it make more sense to simply decide that God doesn't exist- at least not that specific God anyways. Isn't it easier to assume that the Bible was written by a bunch of people thousands of years ago who didn't know a damn thing about DNA, plate tectonics, or quantum mechanics, than it is to arrogantly assume that some all powerful other-dimensional being could actually be bothered trying to trick you?

The problem is that there is no direct evidence for evolution or the geological dates, they are just speculation.
So, you and many others, are charging ahead full steam on just a guess.
If you think I'm pulling your leg-check it out. There is no "verifiable" evidence that the earth is over 6000 years old. There is lots of speculation , and many suppositions based on that speculation-but to date-no evidence.

Food for thought. You mention "datings of the earth" using existing materials.
When God created Adam, he was created as a full grown man. At the time of Adam's creation, physically he may have been 20 years old but "time-wise" he was seconds old.
If God created Adam with "age", who is to say God didn't create the earth and everything on it with a "age". God created full grown plants and animals, not just seeds and embryos.
So the materials that are used for dating may have a physical age of millions of years but may have only existed for a few thousand years.

You're cute.
I'm not going to mention scriptures from the Bible.
What I will say, is look what scientists themselves say about evolution. That yes, it is still a THEORY, and one with many things they can't explain. What mechanism could have possibly chosen nothing but left-handed amino acids for life and forming a succesful protein therein, since according to mathematical probability, it passes beyond 10 to the 50th power for chance of happening; and anything past 10 to the 50th, is considered an absolute impossibility. They can't explain it, but they still believe it.
Since I don't want to go through it again, I'll reference my post on the subject, which includes quotes from scientists (and the references) who DO believe in evolution, but say: "It's just a theory, and there is a lot we can't explain". Scroll down for my post:

I don't believe the earth is 6,000 years old, and the Bible doesn't teach it's 6,000 years old. It simply says: "It was made", that's all. Days in the Bible can mean anything from 24 hour cycle to man, or eons of length. So 6 "Day"'s - that can be an extremely long time. Especially seeing as how it says we are STILL in the 7th rest day.
So how about you try again with your "contradictions" between science and the Bible? And this time, try specifics with references. Not to creation-IST nut-jobs (I am NOT a creation-IST. I believe in the Creation of the Bible, which is something totally different. Creation-ISTS will try to tell you the earth is 6,000 years old, or the universe is 6,000 years old, and all sorts of whacky stuff)
Look to John S's comments above. He seems to me to be a reasonable gentleman, who tries to look at the facts. Then look to "Wolfie's" who tries to make a point, but has his facts completely out of whack. The Bible says that God spoke to MANY men after Moses and the burning bush. But he doesn't even try to collect facts. He WANTS to believe as he does. So he misquotes a book, and lays claim to a belief due to that. Heck, I'm not a Mormon, or a Muslim. I'm a Christian, but it doesn't mean I shouldn't investigate those faiths to at least see if they might be true. I look at ALL the facts.
Now I can't fault people for going with evolution back in Darwins day. Darwin presented his theory in a calm, rational manner. What did the religious leaders do? Scream from the rooftops like maniacs. Heck, any reasonable person wouldn't want to be associated with people that carried on like he did. So unfortunately, lay-people have come to accept it as a fact, without even understanding WHY THE THEORY IS STILL BEING CORRECTED AND WORKED ON BY EVOLUTIONISTS THEMSELVES!!!!!!!!!

God has never spoken to a single human being out-loud since the burning bush incident.... even then he had to douse a poor bush and burn it to hide from our sight.....
Moses spoke with him around the corner of a rock on Mount Sinai.
Kinda makes you wonder huh?
"Bad Hair day" for 3500 years?
