your question is fine as a philosophical mind bender but unless there is anyone out there who has come back from the dead i think u will find noone to give u what u seek.
If u want reasurances i have none to give you, no absolute truths save one:
Its not called the absolute truth for nothing (death that is).
spend your time thinking about the life we have now rather then the life to come... if your a christian try to remember that we are judged on our thoughts en deeds in this world.....if your not then at least try to cram in as much actual living as u can.
Im personaly looking forward to oblivion, this life has become very painfall of late...tooo full of death for my liking (parents nailed by cancer)... but i tell u truelly, while we are still here fight like the devil to make a diffrence and dont fear the night.

as a christian i am way too busy trying to make THIS life better for those around me and myself to muse about the afterlife.
There IS no conscious afterlife for YOU. The only afterlife for YOU is what is carried in the hearts and minds of those in the here and now.

Dont you know why ghosts always walk around moaning? In the afterlife you're always half asleep. God doesnt want troublemakers so its like you're on tranquilisers all the time.
