I enjoy this site very much. I found some interesting questions and I have fun answering my opinions on topics. I am always considerate of others religions and opinions. But when I see pornographic images as Avatars and bigotry and hatred, it disturbs me to the core. Why can’t yahoo answers filter this? If you are one like me, who just wants to chat and have fun and maybe exchange ideas let me know!!! And please take the time to report inappropriate pictures and topics ASAP.

I agree with you and it seems that this situation grows worse slowly but surely. It is a real nuisance now trying to scan for real questions with substance. I haven't given up yet, but sometimes I feel like not coming back, and that is sad.

It is disturbing. Not only the pornographic images, but also the hatred toward God. And there are a lot of folks from religions that deny God.
How much worse will the world get before end time prophecy is fulfilled?
I am reminded of this passage in Timothy:
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
For men will be lovers of self,
lovers of money,
boastful
arrogant

disobedient to parents
ungrateful

irreconcilable

Personally I don't like for anyone to be hated on. Anyway, it is a reflection of human beings fallible and imperfect. If yahoo would grant us an adult forum for those topics it would be awesome. Then the birds of that feather could have a place to flock together. There would still be some nastiness, as I am sure there would be some religious folks trying to save the souls of the adult forum folks, which is just as offensive to them. I do not report people and will not report people unless they are spamming every single question I click on. Just my honest opinion. Have a blessed Christmas.

The pictures should be kept off, but when ideas are involved, that is called censorship. Censorship has always been a tool religion has used to keep opposing ideas in check, along with out-right murdering of heretics until recently in our history. It is still practiced in some of the sub-cults of Islam where they can get away with it. As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us.

I know the picture you mean and it's foul. Unfortunately there are so many users on this site it's probably impossible for them to keep track of them all. The advertisers who post the same answer with a link are annoying too, but you've just got to rise above it and ignore them. The idiot users are the reason many people will not allow contact from the site, you'd get too much rubbish from the cranks.

Yes, Yahoo needs to have more control over these disgusting Avatars. They ruin it for everybody. The sad thing is that there are children who also visit this site.

If your referring to homosexuality I would have to say that these men consider gay orientation a defect in their personality and occupy themselves with religion which after some times does not eradicate the homosexual feeling that they have.
It is obvious that the longer you deny these feelings the stronger they become. This is due to Americans not accepting gay orientation as natural where these men could live openly and with out the stigma of being considered perverts.
Being gay myself I have had the opportunity to attend many fundamentalist Christians event in my business. I am always amazed how many obviously gay men that I see at these gatherings.
I would have to say that these churches have high percentages of gay women and men who are trying to deny their gay orientation.
I fear that years of denial will eventually cause these people to express their homosexuality in unacceptable ways. This could be expressed as coming on to people under their influence or even being blackmailed by gay or bisexual persons who take advantage of the need of these people to keep this secret from family friends and church menders.
In regards to the clergy and sex with children I am totally perplexed why a person in power would chose to enter a child’s innocents. This will damage that child for the rest of their lives. Perhaps someday we will have an explanation of why some people are sexually attracted to young children. Bottom line is these people should under no circumstances be around children.

It's easier to ignore the ones who are attempting to get attention by doing what they do. Things can only bother you if you let them, especially considering it's only online. It'd be different if they were in your face, then you'd have to protect yourself or something, but here, you can choose to "ignore".
Remember, bigotry and hatred are born of ignorance and carefully cultivated anger from whatever else is disturbing their minds. Refer yourself to the serenity prayer, or some similar version about fixing what you can and cultivating patience or peace when you can't. All of this works for me, hope it helps you too.

I too am disgusted by the way people act, but when we see such things happening, we know that Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled regarding the "last days"
The best you can do is report them and hope someone will do the right thing.
