In the Church, March 25th is celebrated as the day of the Visitation, when the angel visited Mary and invited her to be the mother of Jesus.
December 8 (not 9) has been celebrated as the Immaculate Conception of Mary, that she was born without sin.

The term "immaculate conception" in Christian mythology does not refer to the biological conception of Jesus, but rather to mother Mary. Obviously, nobody could possilbly know a particular day for that, so the choice of December 9 to celebrate that is totally arbitrary

It's not Christ! It's the day of Mary's being conceived. Her sin was taken away so that she would be a pure vessel for Christ. I asked the same thing when I was confirmed Catholic (I thought it was either the longest or shortest pregnancy in history, poor Mary) and I was told it is not about CHrist being concieved, but for Mary, the pure vessel of God.

Dates are very confusing, somewhere it says that Dec, 25th isn't the true date of Christ's birth! One would have to do more studying up on this!

She didnt. Two possibilities. Dec 25th isnt the exact date of Christ brith. it was probaly way later. and also its celebrated on dec 9. because of how the churhes start advent and such and the way they study the bible.

The conception didn't actually occur on Dec. 9th. Only God knows that date for sure. You can ask Him when you get to Heaven.
As for the birth of Jesus, He was not actually born on Dec. 25th. We celebrate His birth on that day.
Do you celebrate your birthday on your birthday? I usually don't, that is when it falls during the week. I wait for the weekend so that friends and family can join in the celebration.
Hope that helps!

Immaculate conception refers to the conception of Mary. Catholics teach that she was also born without sin. Catholics often refer to original sin being passed on via the sex act. Somehow Mary's conception was modified by God to allow her to be born without sin.

These dates are not found anywhere in the Bible. Nor does the Bible illude to any shortened timespan. If anything, it may be Catholic tradition.

Well Joesph was gullible enough to buy the whole "virgin" thing. I think he could be talked into that too.
