That is isn't the biggest problem in the relationship if you happen to be dating this Jesus worshipper.

I told her that I thought he was a cool dude and all.....

Show her this Yahoo!Answers section. Really.

My girlfriend was a Christian when we met. I never felt any need to deconvert her or whatever. Live and let live, right? Indeed it isn't my biggest problem.

But since she started reading on this forum, seeing the number of atheists who truly care for this planet, and seeing all the hate that comes from a part of religious folks...it made her turn away further and further from Chirstianity.

She still believes in a God in her own way, and I will never even try to convince her otherwise. But she feels closer to the Atheist vision on humanity than the religious vision of humanity. Somehow that's truly sad to see religious people being able to turn away somebody from their religion with their bigot answers, but it also makes me glad in a way.

So, the easiest way: show her this website :)

You can't.

Take a moment and logically think this out....is he just a:

1. cool dude/good teacher? he can't be, his claims are way too controversial. He claimed to be deity, THE way, THE truth, THE savior.
2. The Lord-what he says is accurate. This is where I fall because of his resurrection. If this is the case, we need to seriously consider where we are at.
3. A liar-once again, he made astonishing claims-either he was God, or he was a liar.
4. A lunatic-in that case, your girlfriend may be too as am I. And actually, we Christians should be pitied more than everyone else.

I like your questions & especially your name & pic (is that the Bronx Dracula or something?). You seem like an honest, cool dude yourself.

Well, it is your biggest problem. If they are a follower of Jesus that will be the point of view and hopefully nothing you say will change that. This seems to be a good example of why the Bible says to avoid relationships between people who believe and people who do not believe.

As a former member of a very conservative christian (Jesus worshiper) church, I assure you, you will never be able to convince your friend that this is not your biggest problem. To believers, the world is filled with two types of people, saved and lost. It's a black and white issue and the main focus of their lives. You will fail in trying to change his/her mind...sorry!

Jesus is God, because He forgives man's sins against God. read Mark 2. He is the creator according to John 1 and Hebrews 1. Hebrews 1 New International Version (NIV) God’s Final Word: His Son 1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

How do you convince a heavy smoker that the lung cancer is killing them?

There is nothing bigger to her than Jesus. And if you dont share the same thoughts, you two will never survive. You're like fish and birds. Oil and water. It'll be okay for a time, but eventually it will break you apart.

If you cannot share the same foundation, you cannot build anything together.

its best to cut your losses and move on.

I think respect should go both ways. She considers Jesus her Savior and you say he's a cool dude. Tell her you respect her beliefs and that she should respect yours also. Then move on to something other than religion.

God Bless and Merry Christmas.

If the other person is a true Christian, it is a big deal to them. Their is not really any other way to say it. Faith is a big deal in any long term relationship. People with the same believes tend to get along better. However their are many other factors.

If that's your attitude, she's a Jesus Worshipper, why
are you bothering her? Cause she looks good?
If you talk about something that's important to you,
and your partner blows you off. You got no relationship
with that person.
