I've read that most who follow Islam are very peaceful. What is different about the ones that are violent?

Well, some of us (not necessarily me) feel that we have been neglected, in the creation of Israel. The rest of the world decides to put these people in the land of those who were already living there.
Its like saying, that you have a bunch of people who have been in a very traumatic experience and are just looking for a place to live. What does the nieghborhood decide to do? They all vote to put them in your home, and they will be the landlords, but you can still live there. Did you get a say in it? No. Most people would do almost anything to defend their homes.
Can you understand why many musliims do not like Israel? That is the biggest reason for the hatred of Muslims.

peaceful Muslims are those who live peaceful lives, the violent ones are those who are attacked, for example Palestinians , for over more than 50 years ( since Israel was established), their country has been stolen from them, their children getting killed on a daily basis, they are occupied, so it is very natural that they will be violent, to defend themselves.9/11 is another example, it was a reaction to the long years of supporting Israel in killing Palestinians and stealing their land, in occupying Iraq and not allowing Iraqi children who had dangerous deases like cancer from getting a proper medications.
I dont justify the 9/11, dont like to see innocents suffer, but wanna tell you " what goes around comes around" these are only reactions for the real injustice and the oppression that muslims suffer from USA and Israel for many years.

The violent people are the ones taking advantage of their religion and using it as an excuse to hurt people. Throughout history there have been evil people who do this in every religion. Did you know that some supposed Christians used to quote bible verses while they were whipping their slaves to justify this action?

We are all humans, some of us are good and some of us are bad. Some of us happen to be Muslims, some of us happen to be something else. Everybody should try to avoid generalization.

I believe that the violent ones are illiterate.They don't even know how to read the Quran.The peaceful one do know.

it is found in every religion. among Christians,Jews and Hindus etc,some r peaceful and some r aggressive.

in every religion, we will find some that will deviate from some of its teachings, and thats why there are some Gay marriages in some churches!
