I just read that love does not exist for atheists. How can anyone possibly be that close-minded and scared?

The Christmas Holidays are on us , Today my intention is to plant some seeds of love . These seeds can be so simple ,Example today I will NOT be in a hurry I will let anyone using their blinker in front of me, and as they get infront of me i will say a blessing for them. Invisble acts to them yes but a loving act from me.
Please list any ideas you have about spreading some love today in a big or small way. Merry Christmas and may the love of your GOD bless you and your family with an abundance of whatever your desiring today.

Why do people constantly argue over whose prophet is the best one, when people should simply be following the values taught by these geniuses of men, and not idolizing them as a rock star or as a means to get into 'Heaven'?

What are the best and worst of all religions?

What I mean is, seeing so many people with this attitude that the world is ending seems like it could be hugely detrimental to society. What do you think having a large chunk of our population believing the end is near is doing to our overall society?

I am at work all day tommorrow and it will be very dark when I get home. I had wanted to visit a nearby Celtic well. I am a druid.

Today is my day off and the weather is beautiful. Should I visit the well today and do my prayers today, or do you think I should wait until tommorrow?

Many thanks.

Before you call this question stupid perhaps you should crack open the Old Testament.

The one about not being prideful. All of these idiots that are offended all the time are about people being too prideful, and from such, we have to live in a stupid PC infested world.

Yes, I am done with my rant

I've heard a couple of interesting notions on this board. One, all sins are equivalent. An early term abortion is equivlant to murder. The day after pill is the same as kicking your dog to death (sorry, it's a graphic statement but it's a bold statement). Picking one's nose and blasphemy. A related question that keeps coming up is "what's the worst sin" and invariably a lot of people pop up and say "blaspheming the lords name". What I'm left with is a picture of Christian morality not unlike a vast plateau of sin with one tiny little mound of dirt in the middle that we call Mount Blasphemore. It's utterly nonsensical to me but what I wonder is, when one of you "all sins are equivalent" believers get called up on jury duty, do you get out by saying (a) Kill him! I don't care what he did, he sinned and the wages of sin is death! or (b) I have no moral compass, I'll just set them all free if they'll confess to a belief in our lord and savior Jesus Christ

OK, I enjoy the Answers!,Society and Culture section, however, I am very disturbed by the Religion and Spirituality Q&A.

I have a suggestion.

Fellow believers, please stop hounding the non-believers. It is not our place to tell people they are evil, or going to hell, or whatever else is being said. Please let them be.

Non-believers, please stop calling the believers morons, or mindless drones. Please let us be.

There, that would make the Society and Cultures section much mroe enjoyable. Dont you think?

It wasn't or at least I didn't mean it to be but what do you think? My former husband for the millionth time promised to call my daughter last night & again he let her down. I called him this morning & asked him if he believed in God because I truly & honestly believe that what comes around goes around. I stated that he really shouldn't be hurting someone that I love because someone he loves could get hurt. I tell my daughter that all the time, that if she wishes something bad on another person than something bad might happen to our family. Am I the only one that believes that & would you have taken that as a threat when I truly believe that's what will happen?

Seriously? People always talk about free will and choosing...but if you are born into a religion and your parent bring you to church and you grow up thinking something is complete truth then how is that free will? I mean if I was born to a Jewish family in Jerusalem I would be Jewish right? If I was born to a Catholic Family in Mexico I would be Catholic....if I was born in Africa To a tribe that worships a Goat then I would worship the Goat...all the time thinking it was true and real. So how can anyone born into something really have free will? If you are born into something then how do you know that its the right choice and not just by chance that you are, Jewish,Catholic, Hindu, Buddihst, Muslim? And How can you be sure your right...because each group thinks they are.

on Earth, could this be why, with all the natural disasters and weather problems, the Muslims are on the rise. Could they actually be unwitting tools of Satan, soon to be controlled by the Anti-Christ to come?

Why do we confess to the priest? Isn't that defeating the purpose of the Christ coming and dying on the cross? can't we not pray and confess our sin to Him?
