He did not sing on the cross but He did quote from Psalm 22. 1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

ahh this is just a stupid question but still where in the OT, ronnysox wants to know

AS USUAL THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS. pSALMS 22 ACTUALLY TELLS US EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. GOOD QUESTION. ONE I NEVER ASKED, BUT WHICH ANSWERS MANY I HAVE ASKED. I TRUELY THINK THE ONE ONE ENDS UP KNOWING THE TRUTH IS THE ONE WHO ASKS THE STUPIDEST QUESTIONS.

So here is my read. YHWH met with Jesus at what we call the transfiguration. From the time He was baptised and the Spitit landed on Him like a dove He walked with the Holy Spirit inside Him in great force. Imagen if you will how exhilerating that must have been. From my own experience I am thinking that must have been truly truly????well truly not describable in words and no doubt it was geometrically multiplied to Him as can be seen by the results.

So He meets the Big Three at the transfiguration just b4 He sweats blood. I am assuming here but what I think is that the Super power of the Holy Spirit was removed, for if it were not then would He not have continually healing Himself on the cross and the whole ceremony ruined. God had to remove parts of His presence at that time for Jesus to have actually suffered and died. That is exactly what psalm 22 is about.(theory but I expect confirmation on this one)
Read it assume you are in His position and see if that is not an exact fit.

Apparently it was necessary for that bosy to suffer and die to fulfill the contract so that we latter could be granted unmerited favor. The sheding of blood was a part of all contracts in the OT just was not human blood.

Thank you for that oh so stupid question. Wouldn't you shed blood right after the powers had been stripped and you knew that was gonna happen to you next !!!

I seriously don't know where you got the information that Jesus was singing on the cross?? I think if he was doing any singing, it was prayer for all sinners or praise for his father... Even if you can show me where you found that and it is true, I would have been singing too, if I knew that I was helping save ppl with my death and that I had done as was asked of me and I was going home to my father..

I am very sorry to say Jesus never sang songs on the cross. You were misled by the words in the bible. You have to know the bible is like math it equals something but you have to do the math. The words are a problem you have to figure it out it doesn't always mean exactly what it says .If you asked sucha silly question like this you obvioulsy aren't understadning the bible and aren't taking it seriously. If you think the bible's boring and isn't leading you anywhere towards God then i suggest that you open the bible with prayer and close it with prayer.

Jesus wasn't ALIVE during the OT. The NT on the other hand documents His life and death completely completely.

I believe you are referring to His quotation from Psalms?
He wasn't "singing", He was fulfilling prophecy.

Jesus was quoting Psalms or The WORD of GOD from whence He gained His strength to die undeservedly on the cross for you and I.
