I just read that love does not exist for atheists. How can anyone possibly be that close-minded and scared?

I hate it when fundies say:
1. Atheists have no morality. (They do, it is just not the brainwashed kind)
2. Atheists have no proof that God doesn't exist. (God is an unprovable entity, and plus the burden of proof is on us christians)
3. Atheists have foolishly turned from God. (Atheists seem to be doing better than the fundies, so look who's talking!)
4. Christianity is the one true religion (arrogance beyond belief)
5. Atheism is a form of devil-worship (ignorant beyond belief)
6. Atheists will burn in hell (bigoted beyond belief)
I am sorry to all the atheists who have been offended by the damn fundies, I see why you are not religious.

That atheists are anarcists, and just want to try to take over the world. I am not an atheist, nor am I a christian. Though I believe that Christ was a good man much like the Budda was. I used to be christian and I feel like my whole world opened up the day I realised that god was more than this book of storys called the bible. I think as long as love and the abilty to forgive others exsists in a persons life they are experiencing the power of a god. We are all just people having a human experience treading the same water as we "get thru" life. Anyway Love I send your way. Merry chrismahannakawanza.

When an ignorant person speaks and doesn't understand there is a difference between atheists and agnostics.

a chum of mine mentioned he went to someones funeral and the minister mentioned, " There are some people right here that are saved, yet they do no longer comprehend it." How ignorant is that! i could no longer have faith a guy professing to be a guy of God could make such an idiotic assertion. I laughed 'till I cried.

That all athiest are just pure evil. Thats not even remotely true. Just bc someone doesnt believe in God then that doesnt make them evil. Some of the kindest happiest people I know are athiest.
I just think people are afraid that what they believe in is so frail that they have to immediately attack someone who doesnt believe what they do. Almost like when a person gets very angry and deffensive when they know they arent right.

I heard that crime is more likely to be committed by an atheist as they have nothing to motivate them into "good ways"???
I argued that by that logic a christian is only ever kind and caring for fear of god, not that they wanted to affect another persons life in a positive way. If god is thier only motivation then I pitty them!
Some people are so ignorant it is quite unsettling.

there was a question in yahoo answers mexico of someone wondering how could attheists differentiate between right and wrong. another one saying why atheists cared about making questions and giving answers in the religion and spirituality section, as if the 2 things were synonims.

Yes, I saw that. That is pretty rude. Perhaps they mean it doesn't exist in the same way as it does for believers. But I think that is true for everyone regardless of beliefs. Remember insults come flying at us as much as they fly back. Insulting is never right, but again, we are human and sometimes make mistakes, just like you. Blessings to you!

I don't like hearing people say you are going to Hell. If you believe in Heaven and Hell, you should know that only God decides this. No one has the right to pass that kind of judgment.

Well there are so many. The devil-worshipper thing springs to mind, as does the ever popular claim that atheists are scared of god.
