I don't have a Prophet, so I don't understand the phenomenon.
As to the best and worst...well, IMO, the best is when following a religion results in applied daily compassion on the part of the followers. The worst is when following the religion results in smug self-righteousness and condemnation of others (the opposite of compassion).

It is wrong to argue which is the best one. Abraham, Krishna, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, the Bab and Baha'u'llah are all one and the same. They each came for a different time and place and revealed their messages accordingly. Only the external and non-essential elements of religion ever change. The same Truth is manifested in each age, with a greater potency. This is the process of progressive revelation.
Baha'u'llah, the Prophet for this age, wrote:
"t is clear and evident to thee that all the Prophets are the Temples of the Cause of God, Who have appeared clothed in divers attire. If thou wilt observe with discriminating eyes, thou wilt behold them all abiding in the same tabernacle, soaring in the same heaven, seated upon the same throne, uttering the same speech, and proclaiming the same Faith. Such is the unity of those Essences of being, those Luminaries of infinite and immeasurable splendour. Wherefore, should one of these Manifestations of Holiness proclaim saying: "I am the return of all the Prophets," He verily speaketh the truth. In like manner, in every subsequent Revelation, the return of the former Revelation is a fact, the truth of which is firmly established. Inasmuch as the return of the Prophets of God, as attested by verses and traditions, hath been conclusively demonstrated, the return of their chosen ones also is therefore definitely proven. This return is too manifest in itself to require any evidence or proof."
"There can be no doubt whatever that the peoples of the world, of whatever race or religion, derive their inspiration from one heavenly Source, and are the subjects of one God. The difference between the ordinances under which they abide should be attributed to the varying requirements and exigencies of the age in which they were revealed."

A True Prophet will not teach anything contrary to the word of God, The bible says The spirit of the Prophets is subject unto the Prophets. Which means, that their revelation will be subject unto the last Prophet revealtion, But He will only add onto the other Pophet ministry a deeper inight of God's will

There can only be one way to heaven. The way Father God, who owns heaven, decided to make. The truth belongs to Him and because He loves us so much He came an died for the truth. He is more than willing to show this to anyone who will listen. Father God is only a mystery to those who seek their own way. My Jesus is not an idol. He is my everything, better than any rock star.

It all seems like "brand loyalty" to me. I think all prophets or religions are equally good and bad. All religions have a common problem - the people who follow religions...

Because they think that they are the most intelligent people and their choice must the best too.
When man realizes that he is ignorant, he will learn to love and respect other people, especially the Prophets of God.

Say ye, 'We believe in God and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob and his children, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to all other Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them; and to Him we submit ourselves.'
