I am Catholic since birth and studied in a Catholic School all my life, but I've started learning about Buddhism after taking World Religion in College. And since then I became very interested about it and so inspired by the teachings of Buddha, the four Noble truth and philosophies. I just wonder if it's a sin.

so...if you really think about it, we exist inside the universe, and the universe exists inside space. where did the space really come from? i mean you can give all the stuff about the big bang and god and all that, but where did the realm that the space exists in come from. sure space is nothingness, but the space is still there. it exists. where is there even this bubble of nothing ness and what would be here if it wasn't here?

Mark was written about 40 years after his death, Matthew some 15 years after that, then Luke and John.

Why?

Those would seem like REALLY important things to write down as quickly as possible. So why did they wait so long?

Every year my house celebrates the Winter Solstice (we're Christian and so it's not a religious thing)
We celebrate because that means the days are going to start getting longer - gotta be happy with that!
Anyway, was wondering, do you have a specific way to celebrate. Are there traditional foods?

Hi >
It may seem a bit Pythonion, but pray tell, why is Jesus such an Icon of the Roman Catholic church, as it was the Ancient Romans that killed him. So I am informed.
I am a Christian, C of E, but my local "Vicar of Dibly" cannot fully explain why he was also called "King of the Jews"
All a bit weird.
I am freindly with all religeons, and have no problems with different beleifs. Each to their own, but -
Any notions ?

I've never understood when people ask other people to pray for them. Is [deity of your choice] more likely to answer a prayer that comes from many people rather than just one?

Since normalcy is defined as conformity to a type, standard, or regular pattern, and since the vast majority of more than 95% of the people throughout history has believed in God or a higher power, isn’t it abnormal (strange, weird, queer) to be a atheist?
