I am an athiest who beleives Jesus existed but was not our "savior"
1 fact is certain, the bible we read today is not the original, it has been changed and manipulated by the old catholic church, to transcend jesus' existance. Really I think he was killed on the cross, i mean this is ROME, any sort of rebelion and you were screwed. Jesus was a descent guy who just happened to rub the romans the wrong way, and from that point Jeses was screwed.

Even though I am christian I am ashamed of how people react when they see women with scarve or men with those big hat. They are people. Get this through your heads. Put yourself in their shoes. I know that Osama Bin Laden bombed the twin towers but because of one person people are assuming wrong things from other people.

My qustion is....Why are so many people against Muslim paople?

Anyone else find it ironic that he calls himself christian, then someone asks him about civilian casualties in Iraq, and he blows them off saying, "well there is always going to be some civilian deaths", dont you think as a christian, 1 DEATH WOULD BE UNACCEPTABLE????

To believers, how important is the book of John?

Is it just John chapter one continued?
Does the book of John say we pray in Jesus Name?
Does the book of John say we'er given the Holy Spirit in Jesus name?
Jesus prays to the Father?
People must know God and Christ who he sent?
Jesus was with God before the world was? John 8:58; Jesus was before Abraham?

When did you start believe in some butt-whipping, all mighty muscular super being who has totally control over your destiny (if he wants it)?

I mean, I laughed when I was first told of the existence of "God" and I was only five.

But that rapscallion Andrew Jackson, who once had a teenage soldier shot for leaving camp to gather food.

My honor is offended by the person who slandered me so. Pistols at dawn! The banks of the Potomac. Mr. Lewis will be my second. Good day SIR!

I remember that Jesus said that "anything you did for your brother you have done unto me"(where is that, btw?)

So in reference to giving to God, does that mean you should give to your fellow man or to your church?

I mean, aren't religious people a very bad advertisement for god? If he is a glum, dreary, rule-fetishist, narrow-minded and joyless hack, aren't we better off without him?

Is it my founding father status? My mad skills with the ladies? My achitectural genius? Perhaps it is the founding of the University of Virginia?

Or could it be that I am infested with too much ego and people don't give a rats patootie about me?

I have seen that some group of people are praying for Shirdi Sai Baba. As what i know he was a normal human being and why should we pray for him? We must always remember that there is a power which doesnt come from a normal human being such him. In my view Jesus crist and Siharta Gautama Buddha is also a normal human being. My question is should we pray for a normal human being.Basicly they never ask use to pray them... Im very sure about this but why people is praying for them?
