The devil will never "rule" hell. He will be down there suffering endlessly, in torment. He won't be comfortable, in the least bit. He won't "run" hell, either. Jesus Christ holds the keys to hell, which is what God created for the devil and his demons to spend eternity, suffering, as well as unsaved/lost souls.

Isn't it silly that so many people, most likely Non-Christians, assume that the devil "rules" hell? God rules all creation, the earth, Heaven, and Hell.

I have heard it said many times. "Christians leave us alone". Then why do you come to the R & S site. Why do you answer questions that Christians have stated "for Christians only". If you don't have religion why are you here. Christians love to fellowship with each other and it is clear that you don't enjoy our beliefs, so why not leave us to ourselves

I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children." (Leviticus 26:22)

"The Lord commands: "... slay old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women" (Ezechial 9:4-6)

"You will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you." (Deuteronomy 28:53)

The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their women with child ripped open." (Hosea 13:16) (sounds like abortion was okay back then...well if it was your enemies women anyway)

Is this really the "word of God" or the cruel thoughts of Bronze age warriors?

I've heard this expression often.
Now I'm wondering about it.
According to Christians, we all really deserve to go to hell and be tortured forever. So what kind of treatment would we NOT deserve?
So shouldn't Christians be careful to never say this statement anymore?

Christians say we are sinful by nature and deserving of hell. We were born that way. If we were born that way, then how is it our fault?

My friend is a Jehovah's Witness. She seems to be misguided about many things. She told me that calling God by the name God was impersonal. She also seemed to think other Christian denominations pray to Jesus.

I told her this wasn't so, that we also prayed to God; and that when we prayed, we didn't call Him "God", we called Him "Father". She said it was still wrong.

When the disciples asked Jesus to show them how to pray, He didn't start with, "Jehovah who is in heaven", He started with, "Our Father, who is in heaven." Even Jesus didn't use Jehovah when praying.

Please explain why you believe that only "Jehovah" should be used to reference God, when Jesus instructed us to pray "Our Father". I want to understand my new friend, but we are having problems that we may not be able to overcome.

Thanks.

Well, I sure do. G-d has calmed my super angry heart. I have been inraged about a situation that occured on here a few days ago, I will spare the details.

He has graced me with peace once again. I apologize for all the smart-a$$, rude, condascening Q&A's I posted. Does that make it right? no. Was it a situstion that justified righteous anger? yes. Did I express it righteously? no!

However, I am glad to be used in a way that shows the love of Christ again, not the bitterness of men.

Thats my most recent testimony.....also had nice revelations recently.

Anyone have a testimony/revelation to share?

Bless you all, children of the most High!

If he really is all-powerful, couldn't he have just said, "you're forgiven" and poof! we're forgiven? It worked with creating the Earth, the ocean, the sun ,the moon, the stars...... So why'd he kill his kid, to lay a guilt-trip on us?

and we say no, we will be just as responsible for your condemnation as you will be so does this answer your questions about why we keep trying to talk to you about this? (although, all we are required to do is propose the salvation prospect and after you refuse we are excused from our duty). So, I have an idea, --will you tell us you have already refused the offer of Salvation when someone talks to you about it and that you will hold us harmless on the day of judgement?

that NO amount of good will get you into heaven...........
while even the most miniscule amount of bad will get you into hell?

Why must we be punished eternally for our bad deeds..........
Why not be rewarded eternally for our good deeds?
