I have heard it said many times. "Christians leave us alone". Then why do you come to the R & S site. Why do you answer questions that Christians have stated "for Christians only". If you don't have religion why are you here. Christians love to fellowship with each other and it is clear that you don't enjoy our beliefs, so why not leave us to ourselves

The ball's over this side of the fence again...

What does it matter what some other individual says, you read all posts answering your question and discard those you think as not meaningful to yourself as an individual, the ones discarded are not worth worrying about. We absorb and internalise information, opinions and other such input, discarding information which we consider to be unapplicable within our own contexts. We are very subjective creatures, whether you are atheist or theist.

Simply, don't let it worry you...

If you really want an answer, here it is . . .

I've been squeezed out of the history site by religious revisitionists, the science site by creationists, the philosophy site by evangelists, and the political sites by the "religious right" and others who are just plain nuts. Can't even use the homework site without religious posts. And when I post legitimate (but opposing) opinion to those posts, I collect "thumbs down" comments faster than party beads at Mardi Gras. I've even been called "evil" for quoting direct biblical passages that describe a vengeful, bias God even though the questioner directly asked that opinion in the history section. If Christians are going to waste my time in non-religious sites asking questions which are actually intended to preach or argue religion, I find it easier and more entertaining to come directly to the lion's den and deal with it head on.

I hate to point this out to your narrow little brain, but there are OTHER religions in the world. This portion of Yahoo Answers is not limited to Christianity; if you will look at the category under which you posted, it's called "Religion and Spirituality," and that includes ALL religions, not just the ones that YOU think are acceptable. If an atheist (or anybody else) wants you to leave them alone, then I'd say that you are OBLIGATED to do so if you are a Christian, since your own scriptures say, "Do unto other as you would have them do to you." If you want a Christians-only place - I suggest going to church.

Why do you feel the compulsion to ask questions that have literally been asked hundreds of times before? The Religion & Spirituality section of Yahoo Answers is NOT a place for the pious to hang out. It is a place to ask and answer any questions anyone has about religion, including questions that atheists have about religion. That is the whole point of Yahoo Answers - to ask and answer questions of others, not to chat and hang out. Anyway, by asking this question, you are violating Yahoo Answers guidelines because your question has nothing to do with religion OR spirituality, so remove it before someone reports you and you get your account suspended.

it quite is totally properly to state your techniques in a public communicate board, even in the experience that your fact is directed in the direction of an atheist or no longer. it quite is why this place exists. inspite of the undeniable fact that, there comes a element the place added communicate is beside the point -- and you exist in this place under your very own words. in case you think of you may initiate or proceed a communicate you may decide for it. in case you sense that what you're saying is basically fodder for yet another's persisted idiotic rantings then you definately could bypass away the situation be because it quite is. for this reason I relatively have my say and flow on. i'm no longer fascinated by forcing my opinion on every person -- and that i definitely in no way intend to conquer my head against a wall attempting to cajole every person of something, non secular or in any different case. it quite is basically counterproductive.

Could you link to a source where Atheists state their opinion, then ask to be left alone?

Leave us alone in the litigating and proselytizing sense. No one's saying we shouldn't discuss these things.

And for the THOUSANDTH time, we are here because this is the section in which questions are asked and answers are given that pertain to R&S. This isn't an exclusive members only club for the religious and spiritual. This is the forum that discusses the SUBJECT, not the forum that is designed specifically for people who believe in any certain way.

Make you a deal. We'll stop answering your Christian-only questions if you stop trying making our kids recite a pledge that includes superstition.

We didn't start this.

I've never said that - on the contrary, let's see what we can do to help believers free themselves from the chains of superstition

Well put!

Its because a lie can be forgotten or put aside, but the truth will be a thorn in their side.
