I'd like to note that nearly everyone who responded to my last post(letting my child run into the street) has EXTREMELY limited critical thinking abilities. Only two people understood what I was saying, and neither of them were religious. Proving to me further that religion stunts brain growth. How in the HELL do you people "read" the Bible?????

chica: The concept or term "hell" is not a true rendition of what the real word means. "Hell" is a mistranslation of the words "hole" or "pit" in the Old Testament of the Bible and "death" in the New Testament of the Bible. When you read the Bible with the proper rendition of the word "hell", you will find that it doesn't exist . The idea of "hell" - burning forever, was started way back in the ancient days of the Egyptians and later, by the Greeks. It [hell] was used to control the masses with fear to promote order in the respective societies of those cultures. Most religions teach "hell" but it is very bad theology . NO ... God will not burn torture people forever by burning them in a fire. This would defeat His purpose for sending His Son, Jesus Christ to this Earth , 2 thousand years ago to save ALL men from their wrong-doings [sins] against Him. God is in the saving business - not the condemning business. Jesus came into the world to save it - not condemn it. The Good News is: We ALL WIN in the very end !!! God LOVES ALL PEOPLE !!! To put it in a way which may be more palatable for all of us ... if there is no God then, we have all had it because this world is becoming a nuclear haven and history proves that every weapon ever, made was ultimately, used. Don't worry though; God does exist and He will intervene when He sees fit !!! We ALL WIN in the end !!! Merry CHRISTmas to you !!!

Most would define love as an action, such as doing the dirty. Some would say it is a feeling that you get in the bottom of your stomach when your around a certain person.

I would define Love as the act of giving your own life so that someone else can live. Christ gave his life so that anyone who accepts him can live eternally through him.

Reffering to your earlier question - you don't let your child decide to walk out in front of a vehicle because you love him. YOU walk into the street so that your child doesn't have to. That is love

Christ gave his life so that we don't have to. Every person dies physically, but by accepting christ as our personal saviour, we can live forever in heaven after our physical death here on earth.

Not true, loving parents will allow their children to learn for themselves. Once their old enough to understand simple things 5-8 warn them once or twice, but the third time let them go and learn. Ex. A hot stove, first few times you say "no don’t touch; it'll burn you” if they do it again a good parent will want to stop them, but will know that if they get burned they will never do it again. They start the mental countdown as they look away. When they hear their child’s cries of pain the take them into their arms and say something to the tune of "I told you not to do that, and now you know why. Next time listen to daddy." He has given us warning: the Prophets. He lets our own life burn us, all the pains and hardships of life that could have been avoided if only I hadn’t done that. If you still want to touch the hot stove, then he will let you because he has given us free will to listen or not to listen. In the end it is our choice whether we touch the stove or not.

I guess your question is "Why god sends good people to hell?" There is a good book out there that explains that exact question- you'll like it its called Hell? Yes!
I guess the question for you is: Do you believe there is a hell? Then next is do you believe there is a heaven? Ok I assume you say yes.

God created hell for the Devil. So by default, if you are not on God's side...you are NOT on God's side

So then you must understand that God has one requirement only, for you to be accepted in his kingdom. You must accept his son Jesus as your savior.

He is god he makes the rules. One requirement! College degrees have more requirements.

At first, looong time ago God created people, gave them free will to do what they wanted and they became wicked.
They were sinners, like we are today. So there was no question these people deserve to go to hell.

God sends his son, Jesus, to tell people about God, about what they have to do to be cool with God again, like you being extra nice to your parents after you broke curfew.
So Jesus comes to redeem the people,
-dies for their sins.
So people are defiant, dont want to believe in something they dont 'see' while its right under their noses, its even in a book.

They deny God, they deny the son of God, why should he let them into his kingdom- he said it from the start what you had to do?
He tells you that you are a sinner and tells you the way to get forgiveness.
I hope more people will realize this before its too late and there is no coming back.

Not forever. Burn was euphemically( not sure if this is the right English) meant to prepare someone to become as in maturity. I don't believe in hell as eternal punishment but rather another metaphor for material world such as Earth. Hell is earth. Burn means to prepare one through series of life experiences in hell(earth) to become spiritually matured. This is the thought behind karma and rebirth. A concept that truly reflect spiritual journey and growth - not a wrathful God and one life time adventure after which would be eternal hell for unbelievers.

of course a loving parent protects their child at all cost, but a truly loving parent would probably not help their child from escaping prison if he raped and killed children. our sin is this repulsive to God. He can not let sin go unpunished. although He has provided a way to avoid that punishment by Christ taking our punishment. this way of escaping is love to the highest degree.

this is not a narrow-minded answer and i hope you are as equally broad-minded when you read the answer.

Actually, you are wrong. A loving parent will send a child into the forest to see if he can survive on his own. Builds character!
But the parent will have a watchful eye, unknown to the child, as God does for us. God won't allow us to burn if we try. I'm sure you think the word "try" is up for interpretation.

Haven't read your other question, but I can infer what is asked by this one.

He sacrificed His Son for the rest of His children. What greater cost is there?

Just like it's not your fault if your child runs out into the street, it's not His fault if one of His children runs of into Hell.

Jesus said to the Pharisees, "You are of your father, the Devil, if you were of God you would accept Me." They were planning to kill Him, and their murderous spirit proved they were of the Devil. You make an error that many do, you assume, "The Fatherhood of God & the Brotherhood of men is what we have in this world. Nothing could be farther from the Truth. God will never put His children in the lake of fire, but He sure will the children of Satan. It is a free choice, choose Jesus & have Eternal Life or Satan & have "The Second Death." Eternal separation from God in the Lake of Fire.

I think we as people are too small to understand what God has or does not have planned.

God does not let us burn. we are in charge of what goes on in the world. We are all letting these things happen.
