Anyone else find it ironic that he calls himself christian, then someone asks him about civilian casualties in Iraq, and he blows them off saying, "well there is always going to be some civilian deaths", dont you think as a christian, 1 DEATH WOULD BE UNACCEPTABLE????

I also wanted to know that. Then he calls himself a BORNE-AGAIN christian.

That statement is just a publisity stunt. He want to make people think thhat the war on Iraq is a religious one(Jihad) instead of a political one. He has to b ashamed of himself!

Peace

Life and death are an unfortunate reality of the world we live in. Death, dying and war are no stranger to the Bible, either. It is not the duty of a Christian to stand by idly, while a Dictator commits human-rights violations, including mass-murder. As for civilian deaths, you only have to look back to WWII to realize that entire city's used to be bombed to go after a few military targets. With today's technology, this no longer happens. However, there will always be civilian casualties associated with war.

The short answer is NO. The bible is full of wars decreed by god, Lots of deaths. Lots and lots of destruction. So a few civilians get hurt, even killed. That has no bearing on someone being christian or not.
By the way, according to Dept. of Justice statistics, More people have been murdered in this country by illegal aliens then have been killed by our military in Iraq.

1) That is not what "Irony" means. A diabetic being hit by an insulin truck on the way to the hospital...thats irony.

2) Judge not lest ye be judged.

3) no one is perfect.

4) some things cannot be controlled.

This is the way of the world. And no, I dont like Bush either.

He's a politician, not a true Christian... As a politician he has the freedom and latitude to LIE, to CHEAT, to GET DRUNK, to be GREEDY, and to be a HYPOCRITE, whenever the need arises.

That's why Bush can call himself a 'Christian'. He's only after the so-called 'righteous' voters who are foolish enough to support him...

Peace be with you.

He says he is a Christian, because he says he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. We do not have the right to judge whether or not he is lying: that is in God's hands.

I try to avoid saying evil things about people since God caught me off-guard one day. I had been putting down this guy in politics who claimed to be a Christian, but I wasn't believing it for a minute! God spoke very clearly to me, saying, "Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.". I told God I had no idea this man was actually one of His anointed, and God said, "Exactly!"!!!

Ouch!
God bless you as you grow in His wisdom.

Get over yourself! There ARE always civilian casualities in war. And yes, I'm sure he is a Christian. It is not our place to judge whether or not he is anyway. That is God's place.

He can say he's a Christian the same way I can say I'm Buddhist. Just because I say it doesn't make it true.

Well, in Christianity we believe in the Shepherd searching for his lost sheep. There are three categories of sheep: Sheep not lost, Sheep lost and Black sheep. Guess which category Georgie falls under?

Being Christian and practicing what Christ taught are not always one and the same.
